Just LGBT, mostly gay stuff, that is incredibly, heartwarmingly, wholesome. Smiles or your money back (I can't actually give you any money, but I really hope this video could bring some positivity and happy)

2:43 It's nice and good that the father is supportive. But it was not good for him to eavesdrop on what he knew was a private conversation, and it was even cringier for him to write that note. The boy deserved to come out on his own terms.

My mom said something, in a bummed tone, about having to take her pride flags down because pride month is over. I said to her, "you know, you can be proud all year long if you want." And she had this look as if that never even occurred to her. They're still up. She's come leaps and bounds and I'm proud of her. Edit: Aw 🥺 I didn't know how much joy this would bring to y'all and it gives me the joy! 🌈

The woman realizing she's gay at the same time her partner came out as trans is so sweet! I guess maybe even when she thought she was marrying a man, some part of her was attracted to the woman she didn't know she was marrying.

A similar thing happened with my parents. My mom is bisexual and had only dated men before she met her wife. Before said wife came out, my mom was always talking about how my “dad” was so much more sensitive and understanding than any guy she’d dated before, and that there was just something about it that was different. A few years later, they both figured it out and they recently got remarried as two women on their 20th anniversary.

The version in my head featured the first one come-out-to absolutely helpless with involuntary, situationally inappropriate relief laughter, because I tend to laugh with relief and the more intense it is, the harder it is to suppress. But never fear! In my head, the hugging and patting and happy crying through the laughter made it clear all was well, so first one to-come-out wasn't in terrible, pained suspense. I'm sure Rachael is right and it was less cinematic, but our versions are cute too! :)

I’ve been meaning to say this for a while and I might have already I don’t remember. But I just wanted to say when I started watching you I was under the impression I was a cis woman. I started watching you when I was questioning if I liked girls. I remember you talking about people saying how they watched you before they noticed they were trans and I was like “no, couldn’t be me, I’m definitely a girl.” Months later now I identify as trans and use he/they pronouns. Sometimes we surprise ourselves I guess. Edit: thanks for the support and I love reading all your stories in the replies. I just want you to know you’re all valid and you’re not alone

I didn’t understand I was lgbtq+ until I started to get to know people from the community and talk to them about their experiences and noticed that what I had felt since I was a child was something they experienced too. I identify as non binary and bi nowadays and finally understood why I didn’t fit in with the others that easily. Before that I felt like a hetero cis girl that’s just „not like other girls“ 😅

My mom joined a "free mom hugs" group after my brother & I came out, and asked us to make sure they were a legit group that was appreciated by the LGBT+ community. She was already someone who gave free mom energy to our friends whose parents didn't support them, and I think it's fantastic to see these groups out there doing good work. Knowing there are people out there with extra love when you're lacking it makes so much difference for a lot of people.

I'm a trans lesbian, too, so I can relate to that. When I came out two years ago, my mom was the first relative I told. She knew for years that I shave my body hair off and had her suspicions about me at least since I was a teenager. When you factor in step-relatives, I told my step-niece before any of the rest knew. "Malika" is gay, too, and we have plenty of common interests so I felt she was safe to tell. She had her suspicions about me being trans or gay. In a way, she was right about both.

Kind of related to that last one, when Ireland had our vote to amend the constitution for same sex marriage. The text read "Marriage may be contracted in accordance with law by two person without distinction as to their sex" (ie, gender of the participants of the marriage is not a factor in the legality of the marriage. However the Irish text (as our constitution exists in both langauge) read "Féadfaidh beirt, cibé acu is fir nó mná iad, conradh a dhéanamh i leith pósadh de réir dlí" translated directly meaning "a couple may, whether they are men or women, make a contract of marriage in accordance with law" which had an interpretation (the 'they' implying plural here due to it referencing couple) necessarily both had to be men OR women. In the same year our government accidentally, for two days, legalised ketamine, ecstasy, crystal meth and magic mushrooms.

I think the most wholesome thing about this video is the comment section, I honestly think Jamie has one of the most lovely supportive community and even if the video is mildly upsetting (some of the topics like looking at far right tik toks or the fight against JKR and how much of a horrible person she is) the comment section will always make me feel loved and supported and needed so, if you're reading this you are loved by someone and even if you don't think it youve made someone happy, simply by existing (:

I know this may be a bit off topic, but could someone maybe help me with something? I'm wondering what would be a good alternative to aunt/uncle for someone who identifies as nonbinary or goes by they/them pronouns. I don't have any figures like that in my life and I'm making a character who is nonbinary and has a nephew who is very fond of them. If anyone could help me with this, I would greatly appreciate it! Edit: Thank you all for your help! Another edit: The reason why I don't want to always just use their name is because it's a one-syllable name. I don't know any nicknames that could come from it, but I'll try and come up with some of those too. Also ankle, auncle, and zizi are all really cute. Once again, thank you all for your help!

Hmm… I use they/it/he and I thought abt this type of stuff. Generally I know a lot of people who have thought of “nibling” for nephews/nieces and just siblings who use they/them pronouns (my uncle uses that for me a lot I said they could call me nephew but they don’t want too-) but I think generally, the person who has the nephew would be able too decide if they want to be uncle or auntie? Sometimes I think about when I become an uncle- I’d want to be called uncle because that’s my preference. But it’s very hard to decide- some people like too merge them together but hmm… when you look up on google you’ll see “pibling” standing for parents sibling which I personally think sounds… interesting… but yeah I think most the time I see non-binaries who just identify as “non-binary aunt” or “non-binary uncle” and uh- yeah hope that helps ?? Basically just make it clear that they have decided they are okay too be called aunt or uncle even though they are non-binary and it should be fine I guess ^^

My mom let me pick out a new backpack online for this school year and I picked one that was sort of gradient rainbow. It’s a small victory and I’m a bit worried but I’m hopeful. I go to a catholic school and some people I truly believed in turned out homophobic and transphobic. I can’t really trust anyone. I also think one of my less-behaved classmates is in the closet and hiding under homophobia and jokes. His friend I’m pretty sure he had a crush on moved to California at the end of last year. I’m hoping that he and any other closeted classmates figure out they’re not alone there. I wouldn’t mind knowing that myself.

I literally started crying while watching this! I wish my parents/family were this supportive. They are so homophobic/transphobic/LGBTQphobic in general. I went to the store with them today and I literally had to ignore all instructions I'd ever gotten from my parents about not walking away from them, so I didn't start crying randomly in front of them. I had to avoid the "Why are you crying?" question, while they were talking about transphobic shite. They were talking about a transphobic man who got into a fight with a trans woman, and now the transphobic man's store is getting so much positive attention and so many customers because he's transphobic and he fought with a trans woman. My parents are so proud of that man and the fact that his sales are skyrocketing. 😿 Long story not so short, thank you, Jamie, for making me smile. ✨😽✨

My advice: Protect Yourself: Say Nothing. Bide your time until you are financially independent from them. Use private browser tabs. Erase your viewing history from all media. Protect Yourself: Use DuckDuckGo or another search engine that doesn't track you. Use the web browser interface to all your social media and not the apps, so that the algorithms don't feed you suggestions that anyone with your devices can find. Protect Yourself: Lie every and any time they ask you about LGBT+ stuff. Meanwhile, plan for your future when you can be your true self. And mourn. Mourn that you don't have a family that will ever love and accept you. Mourn that your biological progenitors aren't your parents, they're your keepers. If it helps, harden your heart. If it helps, hate them for every bigoted thing they say. And when, in 4, or 8, or 10 years when you finally are free of them, build your Logical Family to replace your poisonous biological family. Then, come out to them by telling them that they never loved you, then remind them of every homophobic and transphobic thing they've done. Do it in a letter so you can't be interrupted. Then Protect Yourself: cut off all communication. And then, at long last, build your new life, your true life.

@@not_the_only_cannoli_ Fortunately, no, because I didn't come out until (a) I was 23; and (b) 8 months after I was hospitalized for psychosis caused by a major depressive episode. I met my now-husband shortly thereafter. Everyone was just relieved that I was alive, and overjoyed that I was actually happy at long last. But in my 52 years of life, I've known more than a few gay men, lesbians, and transwomen who had to cut ties with their biological family. Also: not one did my depressive mood disorder complicate my coming out to myself (because it shuts off a person's libido), during major episodes, I'd start to suffer from paranoia. That carved a groove into my mind all those years before I finally got treatment, so I've remained a tad paranoid in regards to some things, especially security and privacy. Again: Protect Yourself. Plan for the Future. Bide Your Time.

I need to know if I’m the only one that feels like this: You know that feeling when there’s lots of food in the pantry but you don’t what to eat. Except that instead of a pantry it’s the closet and the food it’s possible sexualities. Then you just stand there overwhelmed by the options before rage quitting (being straight), only to return 20 minutes later and repeat. This is how I feel trying to figure out my own sexuality and was wondering if I was the only one.

Be patient with yourself. You are allowed to be uncertain. If you're sexuality is still out-of-focus, that's okay. Some of us know we're not cis-het-allo, but don't know anything more until some time passes and we've had more experiences in our lives. Sounds like you're one of those. So again, be patient with yourself. Be kind to yourself. _You Are Still Valid,_ even if you don't have a specific letter in the ever-growing acronym. Back in the 1990s we were trying to reclaim the word "Queer" as an umbrella-term for the entire gender-n-sexual-minorities community. Why not just use that, if you need a label, until things come into focus?

As a licensed massage therapist, I will just say that it isn’t really that unusual for sisters to get a couple’s massage together, especially if they’re doing so as part of a “girls day out” and they want to hang out and talk together. It’s also common for parents and children to get couples massages. Usually it’s either because the parent doesn’t speak English and needs a translator, or the child is a minor and the standard policy is that a child under 16 needs to have a parent in the room with them.

I saw that Tigress helps Lioness raise cubs vid ... I never thought of it as a gay interspecies couple ... just a best friend helping a single mom.... The idea of them being an interspecies lesbian couple raising cubs together makes it sound so much more wholesome for some reason!
