Sidius had a twisted appreciation for anything others might consider to also be broken, twisted, or somehow no longer whole. Much like the Dark Lord likely knew on some level, despite all his pride, that he himself was broken, twisted and not whole.

I think in a way, Sidious was mocking Dooku but in a subtle way... He no longer had plans for Dooku in his Empire's future and was shutting down Dooku's opinions because he knew what would happen...

Vader is more than powerful enough to conjure lightning, Vader and Luke's sith lightning colour is red, but if Vader summons it it would short circuit his life support system

I realize that the answer to this is plot necessity...but I always wondered how someone as intelligent as Dooku could have believed that he would have been able to simply surrender in such circumstances, having kidnapped the Chancellor, and be allowed to sit in prison until the war ended. How did he think the saber dual would go if he threw it to Anakin. Did he not realize he would get maimed, or killed?

I can’t help but find it funny that palpatine always had a setback with his apprentices maul died on his debut and Vader burned and lost alot of power on his bro can’t catch a break

No, Anakin upon almost being burned to death lost a large ability to use the power he had but he never lost the power itself... In fact, as he sat being rebuilt from Ani to Vader, his power multiplied because of the increased surges of pure anger, sadness and hatred within him... Then as Vader detached from the dark side, and found true balance from the light side, his already insane level of power hit such a peak that the only entity more powerful than him is literally the Force itself and everybody know that without some sort of conduit to hold, use and displace itself into and through, the force isn't able to be as powerful on it's own... Otherwise beings like Abeloth, Mordis, etc wouldn't be able to exist

What Palpatine/Sidious' main problem was, is that despite all the power and knowledge he had, he didn't really truly have the foresight to be able to 100% make his plans go 100% his way

The Stupendous wave and everyone, we we all know that Anakin Skywalker connection potential in the force was not diminished, nor affected by the age he was found, and trained, and the loss of his right arm he lost to dooku in fact, this is confirmed by Star Wars and George Lucas Anakin Skywalker never turn to the dark side he could’ve would’ve become the strongest, most powerful character ever of all time in the history of Star Wars reaching his true full potential achieving true perfect balance in the force as the chosen one always and forever☝️ 👍

Thinking about it, this may very well be one of the reasons for the rebellion. The empire couldn't build upon Anakin s popularity anymore, so they had to use more force than they would have otherwise.

Palpatine was afraid of the potential Anakin would achieve if his arm wasn't cut off. He would've been powerful enough to defeat him.

On the contrary my friend, George Lucas himself stated that Anakin had exactly twice the force potential of Sideous. Even with his midichlorian count diminished slightly by the loss of his hand, there's no way to close that kind of power gap. Even Vader with his injuries still managed to reach about 80% of the Emperor's power, again according to George Lucas himself.

that's not entirely true. anakin as vader is strong enough to face sidious if he had a proper suit this was actually shown how powerful vader woulda been without the limitations. you underestimate how powerful anakin actually is. there are alot of 'what if' scenario comics i suggest looking for. point being is even with no arm in this scenario anakin would quickly become stronger than sidious.

I don’t think Palpatine was afraid of anything. He planned to rule forever through the use of clone bodies. Even if Vader would have defeated him, he would have used essence transfer like he did in episode 6 when thrown down the reactor shaft.

To the contrary. It's kinda why Vader was chosen. He himself was worried Vader post Mustufar wouldn't EVER become anywhere near powerful enough to take on and match him. In keeping with the Rule of 2 code an showing how he's a true Sith an worthy successor should Sideous for any reason need Vader to be.

Believe it or not, and I forget where exactly I read this so I can't give the source material, Anakin's robotic arm actually increased the flow of the force (only the dark side, and most specifically the force lightning ability) isn't diminished like most individuals think/assume but is actually increased because of the amount of anger and hatred not only as a whole but also as a focal point for the anger and hatred... Hence why Vader is able to fire concentrated orbs of force lightning... Orbs which each one can match and even overpower the streams of force lightning used by most lightning users

Dooku really was a moron. Makes me wonder what that hypocrite would have done if Anakin didn't kill him. Would he have learned to fight with no hands? Somehow I doubt he would.
