I think you were off when you said the saber he used to slay the Tusken Raiders. He should have still had his first saber at that time which was destroyed on Geanosis at that time.

Just one observation: that lightsaber Is not the same Anakin used to slay the Tusken Raiders. That one was destroyed in the factory in Geonosis.

it is always mentioned that the lightsabers are in fact a living thing due to the kyber crystal or crystals that are inbeded in the weapon being alive, having the ability to essentially talk through the force, in saying this I have always wondered if Anakins lightsaber, forgave him like luke or did it condemn him like he did to himself?

Actually the lightsaber Anakin used to kill the tusken raiders was not the same lightsaber he used to duel Obi-Wan and by extension the one Luke would use until he lost it on cloud city.

I may not fully understand the intricacies of the situation, but I just thought it was his favorite machete. I thought the mixed emotions were that he gets to do yard work again, then the realization that he HAS to do yard work again. I’m sure the first Death Star had an arboretum of dark side imbued man eating trees and fire grass. I might need to go rewatch episode six.

Based from what we know from the movies, The force used vadar to restore balance. The jedi arrogance of thinking a galaxy with no sith and 100 thousand jedi is not balanced. Once vadar finished, there were only obi wun/ yoda lightside and vadar/sidous darkside balance. Until luke started using his force abilities, creating a ripple in the force. Maybe thats why vadar couldnt find obi and yoda because the force was satisfied.

Yoda was hiding where he couldn't be found. Once Obi-Wan entered Vader's passive detection range (in the death star), despite trying to hide (we hope), Vader was indeed able to track him. Even Luke was able to hide from his enemies in the new films. I don't think you can easily find any force user that wants to be hidden until you get REALLY close too by accident. Also... Vader spent much of the two decades killing more jedi so the force might have been balanced enough I don't think the job ever reached completion.

Dame this is why I love the novelization of the movies. I saw return of the sith when I was young. And to a kid, on the lava beach it just seemed like he was reflexively crawling AWAY from the lava. And kinda odd why Obi-Wan would bother retrieving the lightsaber when Anakin was neutralized completely. Kinda wild to realize, Anakin was in fact reaching still going for his weapon. And Obi-Wan took it likely not as a necessity but as a matter of honor. It was Obi-Wan declaration of victory over Vader. Vader was incapable of even pulling his blade to himself, but still he dragged himself. Ever closer to his blade, as if he would grab it with his mechanical and resume the duel. Obi-Wan couldn't kill him, and even in his sorry state Anakin wouldn't except defeat. He didnt take it cus he wanted or needed to. He took it cus he had to in that moment or he couldn't declare victory. That also why Vaders anger was so total when Obi-Wan picked it up. Not cus Vader would of been able do anything with it, but cus he couldn't stop Obi-Wan from taking it.

Have you guys done a video on the alternate time lime (in legends I think it was) where the destruction of the first death star failed, and Lei ends up at Vaders side with The Emperor dying from some kind of sickness? It would be cool to see you do that if you haven't already. I saw a video on that a while ago, but can't find it anymore

Anakin's first lightsaber was created when he was "12" I think, he had that one for ~7 years until it was cut by "something" in the geonosian factory, Anakin's second lightsaber was made more strong and tough and more weight for power. He owned it for about 3 years until it transfered to Obi-wan, then Anakin's son used it then it fell into the pits of bespin shop, it probably landed somewhere safe in canon. Yet the Kyber crystal within both lightsabers are the same.

Really goes to show how far Anakin had fallen to the dark side to the point he'd show no mercy to people like himself & his mother! Still at the time Vader was probably just happy to have his Youngling Slayer 9000 back after Obi-Wan stole it and gave it to some farmboy raised by his adoptive brother!"

4:33 that’s not the blade he used in episode 2 the blade he used to cut down hordes of tuskin raiders was destroyed at the end of episode 2 the blue blade that Luke has is the one he constructed for episode 3 sorry I had to need out real quick
