The real tragedy is that KZfaq despite all its flaws is the only viable option left for video content creation. Mixer is dead, Twitch fell off, Bitchute is under-utilised and other video hosting sites are overall less quality.

As much as matpats video makes me sad that he’s leaving, the one that hurts the most is jocat. Dude was loved by the dnd community and presumably brought a lot of people into the game (self included) and now he’s gone because of humans being terrible… truly heart breaking. I hope he’s doing well now, he was and still is a great guy.

I just want to make it clear in the comments that Meat Canyon isn't leaving. He said that this year has been exhausting and unfulfilling because he felt like he needed to catch the momentum of any news and make a video of it. This year however, he's going to focus on quality and what he wants to do for both his Meat Canyon channel and Papa Meat.

Thankfully that most of the KZfaqrs doing this has enough life to live on their own and they leave either because of that they’re bored or that they want to spend time with their families and I respect that

Consider this video a reminder to love the creators you watch and appreciate the work they put in. We're gonna miss these guys but change is usually a much needed thing. Hopefully they get to enjoy these coming years. Anyway I'll see you guys next time :)

KZfaq doesn’t care about creators anymore, making videos for fun doesn’t get you anywhere everything needs to go based off their algorithm and when something thats meant to be fun becomes stressful what’s the point in staying

This isn't related to KZfaq: But this talk about youtubers feeling burned out by their environment or even the internet is very relatable. But I remember I started to fully engage with Twitter back in 2020 because I was stuck inside all day, Im an artist that make some fanart, OCs, etc. I engage with certain fandoms during that one year, But then in 2021, the people I thought were friends were some of the most mean-spirited, toxic people Ive ever experience, whether towards me, what I like and cherish; there was no empathy, it was a landfill of misery and hate, so got off the app and pulled the plug in 2022. Im not exactly in a better place, but im trying to put all that behind me and move on with me life. That was just One year. I give praise for some (and I mean some) of these youtubers who just want to bring joy to others and have to deal with these things for years, especially MatPat

I don't really think it's that people are changing. More so, times are changing and new people are arriving. We're seeing this new surge of people that are more critical of something because they grew up with it and are more used to it. I'm not trying to dizz a specific generation or anything, since this has been the case for every decade. It's just that rn, it's media and content creation.

this is just sad but it definitely fells like the right thing to do for out favorite creators. i have been watching markiplire jacksepticeye and of course matpat for all my life and the fact that matpat was levinng was sad but in my opinion it felt earned. like you said these creators are felling burnout and just need to do their own thing because over time some if not all of them have been getting hate for some stupid reason like jocat getting hate just because of some song that he made. Witch is an amazing song but of course, other people say otherwise. anyway i just hope we get so see there content a little while longer including yours too.

Very Nice I feel like we are entering a new era were ogs retiring from KZfaq willingly.

One very big problem I have noticed is that KZfaq has become increasingly punitive, selective, and hypocritical in their censorship, monetization, community guidelines, and moderation of the platform. I wouldn’t be in any way surprised if that has contributed to KZfaqrs wanting to leave KZfaq. In fact I know for a fact a great many of the History KZfaqrs, not to mention reactors like BBT network are tired of KZfaq’s BS. Ffs CharmX originally left KZfaq because he was tired of dealing with KZfaq’s bs.

I am back! a short one this time. make sure every choice you make is yours, rich coming from the guy who requested uncle grandpa vs popeye but it's true. You decide your content, channel, and life man, live how you see fit and enjoy what you make. always remember that.

The internet getting hostile is something I've noticed happening over the years with people commenting on old videos about how a topic or a joke in it offends them and complain in the comment section about how the creator must be a terrible person because he made a r*pe joke or something when stuff like that was the peak humour over a decade ago. It seems that the less free the internet becomes the more hostile it becomes

The biggest tragedy is that these spoiled brats called "KZfaqrs" can't handle making thousands of dollars from the comfort of their own home, with nobody to boss them around besides themselves.

So you can watch MatPats videos but you can't watch PapaMeats? He's not leaving KZfaq, he's taking a small break from MeatCanyon because he doesn't enjoy animating as much as he does commentary. So many channels just assuming he's leaving because of his thumbnail, he even had to make another video responding to the fact you guys obviously didn't watch it. It's sad and I was expecting you to do better
