I am 54 and used to work in a serology lab with literal litres of blood every day and I found that painting with tampons disgusting and just gross. Those "paintings" would be smelly in no time and could possibly rot the paper if left in the air for too long. Sheesh - I am a feminist in the meaning that if I do the same work as you I should get paid the same, I should be able to do my work without being harassed and have an equal voice at work. I have worked in factories where have been the only female on the shop floor and I can tell dirty jokes with the best of them. The men I worked with respected that I worked hard and gave as good as I got and didn't ask for an easy way because I have boobs. It annoys the shit out of me to see these wankers label themselves as feminists and basically undoing the hard work we older women put in during the 80's and 90's.

What a lot of people don't understand is that it's not just blood. If you sliced open your veins, bled into a cup, and painted with it, it wouldn't be anywhere near as disgusting as the shit that comes out of your vagina once a month. Because it's also tissue, urine, vagina juices, and all kinds of other material. Think about it, if you get a paper cut on your finger, you instinctively want to put your finger to your mouth.
