As a woman part of gen z I’m so disappointed with the way women have been victimizing themselves. I am not a victim and I don’t want to be seen as one. If a woman wants to be a mother she should do it, if she wants to be the money maker she should.

Funny how alot of feminists say they are helping women but it really looks like they are degrading alot of values women can and usually have. Example is motherhood and being a maid/servant (not a sexual way but more so getting paid to clean stuff and cook)

How is having children “dominating” or “domesticating” women? I’m a mother to 4 children with 1 on the way, my own doctor tells me he couldn’t do what I’m doing. Being a stay at home mom to 4 kids let alone 5. My own husband says he couldn’t do it all day every day. I tell him I couldn’t work how much he does, and how much I appreciate him immensely for doing the work he does. He says the same thing. I hate modern feminism, it doesn’t empower women, it sets us back and makes us look like whinny little bitches.

I'm a classic feminist, meaning I think that women should have the privileges of men in society but I think the empowerment thing is stupid. I don't advocate for any unhealthy behaviors to be treated as Bon-Ton. People are going to do what they want but I won't cosign something I know is harmful. No man or woman should be okay with or advocate for objectification, it gets old quick.

Cardi B is the kind of woman a man wants, a woman who can be by herself, a single mom, and giant attributes. The problems that face feminism thirty years ago are not the same. Sure we can say she's an empowered woman, but her perception through man's gaze is not an empowered woman is just a hot sensual woman that is saying shes WAP. Not sure if we have to see her as someone with a big appetite or something else. Besides the video of the WAP song is so male. And it seems she's ok with objectification and it makes it bigger, the lyrics kinda become gross with all that wetty sentences but it seems she's reinforcing an active role in which might be a passive role for woman, but again is that clear? I think the whole thing strike back to her. How does feminism deal with the problem of perception? The whole thing is not men-free as an "oppressor" because it seems that this exuberant display of sensuality satisfies a male audience instead of a female one. So in that, a case is hard to see this as something feminist or female-driven and not a product to satisfy a male audience in the first place.

“Wage gaps” and “man spreading” are not actual issues, instead, we should pay attention to women in countries like the Middle East where they have little to no rights and are ACTUALLY oppressed. Unfortunately, most modern “feminists” dont bother to address these.

It's weird that feminist hate women who exhibit traditional femininity like being a mother. But then turn around and complain about the supposed 'wage gap' when they won't work 80 hours a week. Feminist want the privilege of both without the work it requires to have it.
@lilisco9957
@lilisco9957 3 жыл бұрын
the wage gap isn't affected by how many hours you work tho right ? its about how much you are being paid for the same amount of work hours. And yes there a feminists who are against just being a mother as a life goal, I haven't met one personally though and I, as a feminist, don't have anything against it, just live your life.
@crystalross2284
@crystalross2284 3 жыл бұрын
@@lilisco9957 Whenever the have wage gap comes up they show and end of year before taxes amount for how much women and men make. But when you take out other variables like women who got pregnant and took time off or quit all together and divided the yearly amount made by hours worked, men and women stand even when doing similar work with similar education. The problem with the wage gap myth is that is being perpetuated is that a portion of women in the workforce do tend to work less hours so they can take care of the children after school and some even take off months when pregnant if they can afford to.
@eowyneadig7879
@eowyneadig7879 3 жыл бұрын
The number of hours isn’t even the wage, your wage is what you make per hour or your salary, etc. There is an earnings gap but not a wage gap.
@crystalross2284
@crystalross2284 3 жыл бұрын
@@eowyneadig7879 I know that but when talking about the average wage gap between men and women they take all the money made the average it out. For women, this includes all the women who take maternity leave which can be a couple weeks to a couple months. Those day of no income lower the average artificially. So hours count because they are used. Also some news broadcast show a difference in average salary without taking in consideration maternal or hours worked.

In context he obviously meant working with Things vs People. All the heavy work in society like building houses, bridges, skyscrapers, etc (mostly men) is obviously harder than working with children or customers, hence it's worth more. Otherwise nobody would want the harder jobs. This relates to why socialism doesn't work. Nobody's gonna put in all the extra hours (mostly men) if they're gonna be paid the same regardless. If everyone's equal, then everyone's equally lazy.

I did not notice at school but when I joined the military I could not believe how toxic the girls in the Army were to each other, really really bad, so destructive to moral and the functioning of the unit, thank my lucky stars they were still kept them out of the way in active service. Working with them was fine as a male but if more than two girls were in a close working environment before long the friction ( bitchiness) would just become too problematic and would even override rank . If any of the guys had a dislike with one another rank nearly always kept it in check, jobs got completed and the dislike would usually dissipate possibly with a show of "chest beating" and possible minor violence. Later in a higher rank I would waste so much time trying to keep the girls in my unit in check and smoothing out problems they had with each other, you could not treat them like the boys either or you would be in the merde. Had to treat them like fragile little things. Godamn awful.

What annoys me is the contempt and disdain these type of people have for anyone who wants to live a more traditional life. They talk about housewives and homemakers as if it's an insult, or the worst thing a woman can be. They think that being on OnlyFans is more empowering than being a mother and a good wife...lol. Honestly, I don't see what's so bad in 2020 about being a housewife, stay-at-home mum, or being a guy who wants to provide for his family whilst his wife minds the home? As long as both parties are happy with this dynamic, why is it an issue for these feminists / progressives? Obviously there's nothing oppressive about this lifestyle in 2020, if you're living in any modern, Westernised country. These people are all about 'equality' and freedom of choice for a woman to do what she wants with her life and body, but as soon as any woman makes a choice *they* personally deem unsuitable, they shame them for it! Unbelievable. You're right to cut that friend off though, If she wants to judge you for a decision you clearly want, just because it upsets her own stupid sensibilities and goes against her warped ideology of what life and men / women should be, she is certainly toxic.

This is your best video yet. I experienced toxic feminism from my own mother. I'm a Gen-Xer, my mother is a Boomer. When I had my oldest child at age 30, I quit my job. My husband made enough to support us and we had very little debt. We both agreed it was the best thing for our family. When I told my mother this her response was "You're giving up your career to change diapers and wash your husband's underwear? What the hell is wrong with you?" She tried to then guilt me with " The women of my generation made so many Sacrifices for you to have choice and opportunities. I then told her ," Being a stay home mom is my choice and this an opportunity that I am grateful to have".

@@rogermouton2273 Roger I just recently watched a vintage episode of 4 corners. It was from the 60s and the reporter on the street was asking men and woman should men help out with the household chores. Even back in the 60s a majority of the men interviewed were all for helping with the chores. So I think at least for Australian men they have been on board with equality for longer than were led to believe. You should watch it see for yourself. Yep. She's just a gross person overall. Like regardless of her gender, the way she acts, speaks, dresses, behaves...everything about he, is just crass and lacking in any character or dignity. There's a vid where she literally recorded herself live on instagram having diarrea on the toilet. It's genuinely disgusting - why would any woman, hell, anybody at all, want to associate themselves with someone who does stuff like that, or admit that you like / respect a celeb who acts this way? I get why Cardi does it. It's all shock value, at the end of the day. How do you quickly get your name out there when you have no real talents to speak of? Shock the masses. W.A.P. is a perfect example of this; she's all about trying to be as controversial as possible. But more fool the people who lap up her shit like it's chocolate. I honestly don't understand why people celebrate her, or worse, try to emulate her / look to her as some sort of 'role model'. I get that some people have an affinity for celebs like this, wherein they have a kind of fascination / obsession for these famous people due to their uniqueness or weird and wonderful personas, but that's very different to legitimately thinking that Cardi B is a prime example of empowered femininity that's worthy of idolising. It's the difference between being fascinated by the freak show performer and watching them for a bit of decadent entertainment, vs thinking it's a good idea to try and copy the freak show performer, and become the freak yourself. Unfortunately many young women are falling into the latter category, then wondering why they can't find any 'good' men lmao. Gee, I wonder.

I want my daughters to feel empowered with whatever, whoever they choose to be not just for the way they look or how much skin they can show off online. My eldest has a keen interest in becoming a veterinarian My next daughter has intellectual special needs but is quite athletic physically so we get her into as much physical activities as we can and she loves it. The youngest well likely to rule the world at some stage she's independent, strong willed and stubborn yet beautiful and kind-hearted at the same time. So I can never agree with the whole « women all hate each other and can’t stand each other and are each other’s worst enemies and secretly plot to assassinate every other woman on earth and are constantly in extreme competition with one another » narrative. I think such a train of thought is just as toxic as the « men are the cause of every ill of the world » narrative. Let’s stop putting humans against each other !

Patrice O'Neal once had a comedy show where he asked the women in the audience what they would do to keep their significant others if they lost the ability to use their va*#@ for sex. Not a single lady in the audience (as far as I could hear) gave an answer that didn't involve sex. It was so sad to see that these women had so limited imagination about themselves and saw themselves only as sex objects. (Idk that was my personal opinion)

I don't see the positive motivation from WAP when it literally advocates using a man as long as you get money or expensive gifts. Literally in the opening of the song it says something like, "sit on his face, swipe his nose like a credit card". Now forgive me if I'm wrong, but I have a controversial thought (DISCLAIMER: IT'S A JOKE)... Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion are hailed as icons, especially amongst the feminist community, for writing a song that tells women they should take advantage of men and only have sex with them as long as they give them money and expensive things, but Harvey Weinstein has sex with women and gives them an acting career...

Im Hearing a reoccurring argument in the comments. "Why can't women make a song about WAP, when men sexualize women all the time???" There are other ways of women persuading the mass portrayal and exploitation otherwise. We have a big enough voice now on a gigantic platform, that can reach hundreds of thousands of people. We can retain our feminity, dignity, and degrees of modesty on these platforms, it's our choice. When did women ever lower themselves to a man's standard? In our history, especially in this country, we wanted to elevate ourselves on that platform of dignity, so we can ultimately become the community we want to be. Instead of coming together, we are fighting eachother. When men exploit us, and we just follow that norm, that's wrong. There's a difference between coming to appreciate the female body as equal, and just exploiting it to a grotesque extreme. I'm sorry, but wap is a nasty ass song, and I don't think people, men and women, should even act like that. The body is sacred in both genders, so I don't understand the exploitation. We also shouldn't critique the choices other women make in their lives. Being a mother, or having a job are both valid paths in life. We have lost our path as women, and I only blame ourselves, at least in this country where we still have a choice. They don't have these privileges in many other nations. They get pressured into a life they didn't ask for, but believe me, we have a choice.
@lilisco9957
@lilisco9957 3 жыл бұрын
So first of all everyone should live their life the way they want to, as long as other people aren't affected by it. But you said that it is ridiculous how women, who chose being a mother,housewife and or having a different job as their as their lifegoal, are being shamed, while you pretty much shamed women(and men) who chose to show their body and be proud of it and their sexuality. Cardi B is a shit human being, but not because of how she chooses to portray herself. Not everyone wants to live a modest life and that's okay, there are people who do and that's fine as well.
@chaeryeongships3991
@chaeryeongships3991 3 жыл бұрын
@@lilisco9957 bro reread what I wrote, I said having a child or having a job are BOTH VALID paths in life. Also, this is not a way to be proud about your body. There is a difference between sexualizing the body to an extreme, and praising it's true and natural beauty. And Cardi B sounds like a bitch half the time I have no sympathy for her, she even said she used to drug men at bars and take their money. Why should I even have to defend someone like that? I prefer to argue in FAVOR of good people who don't glorify ass and sex and pussy. I don't advocate for people who want to corrupt their human decency. Men and women alike.
@lilisco9957
@lilisco9957 3 жыл бұрын
@@chaeryeongships3991 never said that you didn’t find having a job as a valid life goal. But Cardi B (Shes a shit human being and I am not supporting her on what she has done but like on all the different stuff you could get upset about its WAP..) and other MUSICIANS who work under the concept of sex sells are also valid and we dont need to shame them. You can live your life the way you want to and they can do it how they want to. Not everyone has your morals regarding decency and such. And I think its wrong to push them on people when it’s literally just about how you present yourself. Let them be proud of their body and sexualise it. If you see a big problem with this shouldnt your concern be directed at the many viewers and listeners who support sex sells (let other songs flop and the ones about sex be a huge success) Obviously I dont know if Cardi B, Nicki Minaj and so on would have gone down the same route regardless or not.

Lmao I remember the time back in 4th grade, I had a fist fight with a guy taller and bigger than me. I beat the crap out of him, the next day we were hanging out like pals like nothing fcking happened. Physical violence isn't that subtle, and so it's very clear when someone is pissed, so generally it's a lot easier to sort it out. It could be through talking, or it could through a fist fight. Emotional violence tho, well that's one fcked up. If physical violence is like having cannons firing at your castle, emotional violence is like having a traitor poisoning your water supply. The one is more subtle, but more disastrous
