I stopped listening to my doctor years ago. If I had done what my doctors told me to, I would be dead by now. I have lived with my body my whole life. 15 minutes with a doctor isn't enough time for him to know my body as well as I know it. They don't even listen to you anyway.

Interesting. I still think any mental health issues you should start at the gut. Good gut health means a lot. I've seen an awful lot of research on it and eat good things for the gut and I'm generally a happy camper. When people aren't metabolically sound, their gut's microbiome / bacteria get out of whack and that just leads to so many things going wrong.

Agreed! I've been doing a lot of research the last couple of years and I'm metabolically sound and very fit now. Seems most of the things they've taught us are wrong. I eat lots of bacon eggs and butter as well as meat. Make it grass-fed if you can because that is omega-3 fat which your body needs. Most Americans get way too much omega-6, which is what the beef produces when you feed it corn instead of grass. Humans really know how to screw things up especially if there's profit in it!

Saffron is more expensive than other spices, but it is very cheap to buy in the M East. I bought it very cheaply from an Arab trader in Israel. I brought home a great amount, it’s very light weight. I used it for a year, but had too much so offered my friends and family gifts of Saffron, no one wanted it, and l threw it in the bin eventually as l did not know it’s fresh date end. It’s very dry, and can probably last for years, but l don’t know if that’s the case. So, Saffron really shouldn’t be expensive. I am not rich and l could afford to buy lots of it in Israel. It was sold in a big cart of the stuff, plentiful, not a scarce foodstuff.
@catherinehenry6762
@catherinehenry6762 2 ай бұрын
It is not rare. The reason why it's expensive is that it is VERY work intensive to harvest, very slow and cannot be done mechanically. Each flower has 2 yellow filaments in its center, that must be carefully plucked out by hand. That's the Saffron, and it takes tens of thousands of them to make a pound.

I also have been on Prozac/fluoxetine for many years and if they told me it could become addictive I may have rethought about taking it. I was elated to see doc talking about this drug. I've been starting to eat more healthier now for a few months & I go to this wonderful health food/supplement store and I feel I may be able to kick the habit of this pharma drug, since I am much better now since I gave my life to Christ. God knows I want to get off of these pharma drugs. The funny thing is, is that my son mentioned Saffron to me today:)

For supplemental use you better use the flowers, its cheaper and has in higher amounts same effect. 30mg of saffron stigmas is more expensive than cocaine, no one can probably afford such supplement on daily basis.

The safron bearing crocus looks very much like other crocus flowers frequently seen in gardens. It is my understanding that these common crocuses are toxic. Safron is a special thing and that is why it is so expensive. I do not know if any regular garden crocus is of the safron variety.

Thank you so much for publishing this. Because this is a game changer. I love natural things. And I've been into natural things since I was 12 years old and I will be 60 this share. And I believe that vitamins minerals herbs are here for a reason. They don't cause this cancer. You don't have to have a member of your body lopped off. Just because some Doctor messed up. And miss you out of that, like you're thyroid and your kidneys and other vital organs that you need. I stop going to doctors all because of that reason and went to holistic doctors. Doctors that believe in getting to the root cause of your problem and get rid of the root cause so you can get rid of the symptoms and not keep taking drug after drug after drug because of all the side effects.

A lot of people are promoting saffron for some reason. I don't know anything about saffron, but I do know of certain other spices that are essentially more effective than Prozac. For example, one effective combination is turmeric with freshly ground black pepper. And another effective thing is a certain mixture of garam masala spices which includes ground cloves. It is said that cloves contain a natural MAOI antidepressant, and it is very powerful because you only need 30 to 140mg of the cloves with the other spices and you only need to take them occasionally when you have a bad mood. It's a fact that the artificial antidepressants are total garbage, and this is known by people ranging from many scientists to pharma execs!
