She looks very striking and lovely with the darker, natural colour. The few people who look good with bleached hair look good in spite of it, not because of it. Natural pale blond is a very different shade and so are dimensions of it, the bleached look is so overdone it's boring.

IMO it's trashy on absolutely everyone. People with naturally super pale blonde hair look great with it of course, most people's natural color is what's best for them.

@Effy and the shade is never right. It's this shock bleach color which doesn't contain the dimension and warmth real hair has. Almost looks like wigs made of horse hair lol

Light hair on light skin widens your face and makes it rounder. Darker hair visually breaks it up making it more narrow and angled. The darker hair adds more balance that way to her already rounded and soft features.

I'm an FN and at 64 my natural hair is now a creamy white. I do miss the contrast but wanting to make this work. Would love a series on seasons going gray and how to make it work beautifully without dying it.

Yeah except Ali makes it seem like it's strictly her hair colour and tan affecting the look, but we can clearly see that Gigi looks like she's about 15 pounds heavier and 5 years older in the first picture, so that is want is actually making the difference. Body weight always makes a difference.

@@SolutionsWithin 🤔 never thought of that. These photos are at different ages too, she started modeling sooo stinkin young. I also tend to dislike platinum blonde in general, it doesn't suit most people without makeup or they don't maintain it and it looks sloppy or like a bowl of ramen. I always think of justin bieber, he looks so ..crusty all the time

@@ixibitsy ahaha! Ur funny! Crusty😂 I agree with you but I think platinum blondes look nice without makeup, especially if they’re naturally fair and fair-haired. Nordic looking…. I hate to be contrary or judgemental, but I detest fake blonde hair on anyone who it’s far from their natural colouring. It just screams cheap and low class. Bleached hair also often looks soooo damaged but especially if one has to bleach it for 4 hours b/c their hair is so dark! Someone with dark blonde hair like Ali probably, and blue eyes only has to leave the bleach on for a short while, so it doesn’t end up looking as damaged. Anyway, I digress!

@@SolutionsWithin I totally disagree with the skin tone, Solange had platinum braids and they blew me away! Same with fka twigs' dreads. Gooorgeous. I think more deep skinned people can pull it off than fair skin bc the more obvious undertones/rosacea/dark circles etc. can make the person look sickly. But the thing is, celebrities have the money to maintain their hair and hire a pro who knows what they're doing in the first place lol we are kind of gambling when we go to our local salon and show them a pic of an ice princess

@@SolutionsWithin I was trying to ignore the micro-aggressions bc I don't want to argue but this is why I don't watch Aly's full videos anymore bc her opinions are... "Outdated" to say the least. I'm so tired of hearing her call poc and their trends trashy. You might not understand how it feels and it might not be what you outright meant but I wouldn't call /anybody/ low class let alone a group of people who has had this phrase used against them for years. :/ You're entitled to your opinion but maybe examine /why/ you hold those opinions.

It's not about her body type, it's about her coloring, her triad of colors between hair, skin and eyes. She's some sort of spring or autumn in the kibbe seasons system analysis, which means she looks better with warmer tones in her overall composition, including hair. She also looks best with less contrast than a darker autumn or winter, which are the seasons that look best with high contrast: for example deep winter or true autumn. She's either soft autumn or soft spring.

Interesting. I thought it had more to do with her colouring. She's very muted and the bleached blonde is very bright/clear. Although she can still somewhat pull it off because shes warm toned.

I agree, the result is not ideal, but it's not horrible either. She looks better with more natural tones but she can pull off the bleached platinum well enough that it doesn't stand out as jarring. Now let's talk about Donatella Versace.

it doesn't make sense to me to say a color is unsuitable for a body type. i think it has more to do with her hair not being voluminous in this photo-which effects her lines-the color is more flattering when properly styled but obviously still isn't ideal for her color season.

I don't think the color looks bad on her, at all, I think the styling is the problem. The hair is a bit too flat on the top of her head and too frizzy around her face, which draws attention to the breakage that she has. In most of the pictures and videos I've seen, she looks great with this hair; there's the Vogue In the bag video, the Ralph Lauren winter 2022 runway, an interview in which she promotes her new clothing line and others that I can't recall. The alternative pictures you showed look better, because she has better styling, it's the shape, not the color necessarily. In those final two pictures, the hair is sleeker, or at least not frizzy, and very volumized at the roots, which suits her round face better

FN here! Veeery light blonde until my 22 aproximately, darker later but still very blonde (level 8 in roots 9 at the ends when I wear it long). I look better with my natural shade and shadows (some ashy here, some gold undertone there), of my colour and guess, I am light summer: we are supposed incredible with very pale colour hair. I think my features would look "washed" if I would wear your colour which is amazing on you even if you are not blonde! 🤩
