@@Sunpire In southeastern part of the island farmers are growing local banana (they are smaller than the regular ones)a d other exotic fruits. Unfortunately they are very limited and expensive but for once it's nice to try the local ones.

I think the best beaches in Greece is in Halkidiki. You should visit. It is the Caribbean of Greece.

I know it's probably on your list of places to visit, but don't skip on the botanical garden up in the hills, it's worth a visit.

@@Sunpire Nothing out of the ordinary that you already don't know about, thats why i suggest the botanical gardens as they dont get so much attention, and it's really cool place, lots of different fruits and plants, some animals, and its higher up so if you go earlier in the day it's nice and cool as well. And i hope you are planning a hike on the white mountains too, it's a must :)

Try to visit evia island!!too close to athens,you can go with your car,bus etc!!! Crystal clean waters,cheep and perfect sea foods....and too many more!!! You will be amazed!its my motherland and i know what im saying...dont go only in crete,santorini,mykonos etc....too many people,too expencive ...
