Mark Slaughter’s voice is awesome! Firehouse and him have the iconic 80’s pop metal 💯

The answer to that one is easy. I agree. He did not PICK HIM. He did not WANT HIM in HIS BAND. And yeah, Towards the end it was "Vinnie Vincent Invasion: Featuring Mark Slaughter" Not "Vinnie Vincent Invasion" so of course that pissed him off. It was Vinnie's loss tho. Mark went on, Used Vinnie's contract (when he abandoned it), and went on with "Slaughter" and made an hellva record! Vinnie would not know a good thing even if he tried. If it's not all about him, He is not interested.

Agree. Even now....he could have a band, a book, an album....all kinds of cool shit people would be into. Instead he’s doing these bashes for a small handful of people. I don’t get it.

Not even a phenomenal talent. That's what's so amusing. His guitar "instructional" video is literally unlistenable.

He is not a "phenomenal" talent. He has zero taste, and can't differentiate between what makes a song good, and what makes a song utterly unlistenable. His solos are dreadful, and he ruined every single song live with KISS by playing utter bullshit.

@@austinfailz That's because you've only heard his soloing on VVI, in that period he was doing this outrageous shredding style but he didn't always play like this. The guy could play anything from jazz, classical, folk. He even played Jeff Beck's stuff note for note. The guy was indeed a phenomenal talent

I like both Robert Fleischman and Mark Slaughter’s singing. Robert was perfect for the over the top VVI. Mark was perfect for All Systems Go and it’s somewhat more commercial sound.

vinnie can't understand that mark was 17, and he couldn't throw an opportunity like that, in fact with slaughter I become someone and won many awards, it seems to me that vinnie doesn't get along with anyone and with those who worked and ran

I always heard the story of Mark sending in his demo vocals and Vinnie loving it but couldn’t track him down because he left no contact info. That’s when Robert was brought in to imitate the vocals. So unless there’s no truth to that story, I don’t understand how Vinnie didn’t like Mark from the start

Yes, that story is a complete lie. Listen to my interview with Goran Edman who almost sang for Vinnie and ended up with Yngwie. What he says debunks that story

It must've really made Vinnie fuming mad when Chrysalis Records kicked him to the curb and gave the remainder of his contract to Mark's then new band Slaughter, who achieved the success that eluded Vinnie. No wonder he despises Mark, even though Vinnie has nobody to blame for his failures other than himself.

I don't remember Vinnie ever saying early on that Mark was forced on him. In recent interviews, without naming Mark, he has said HR had "no talent". That was false; listen to "That Time of Year". Vinnie is ever grumpy man who took over 25 years to get his star back, and doesn't have the patience to do the work.

It’s so weird how he hates Mark but likes Paul and Gene? Lol Slaughter had some cool songs and got a piece of the pie in the early 90s... Vinnie is so talented. Go listen to his demos on here, he could have had some legit hits and while everyone thinks he was a shredder, the dude was MELODIC as hell when he wanted to be

Who cares what or who Vinnie Vincent likes or hates?? Seriously, a good guitarist, yes. But one who, well....The only reason anyone even knew about in the first place. Was because he was the first person. To officially replace Ace Frehley in Kiss. Otherwise, who's Vinnie Vincent?? Sure, he had a little success with with V.V.I. But, again that was only because he'd made a minor name for himself in Kiss beforehand. The first V.V.I album is good. But, Any interest i may have had, In Vinnie's thoughts or opinions. Was killed by his endless whining about kiss. Sure, insult the source of your fame eh vinnie

Listening to this clip makes me wonder why Ralph "Dr. Fukk" Viola hates both Sammy Hagar and Paul Stanley(and complaining about them on a weekly basis) so much while heavily brownnosing Jan Wenner and the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, with those three factors causing me to stop watching his KZfaq show(and that have made his KZfaq show so highly unwatchable).

I think that Vinnie felt frustrated that he can get the "right" singer FOR HIS band(Because it was HIS BAND) and maybe he can't stand Mark singing HIS compositions. Sometimes you're looking for "The best" and can't be completely satisfy and happy with "the best you can get" also he was an asshole with everybody. That's all. I love everything that Mark has record. One of the most OVERRATED singers of the eighties and a big influence to me.

Do you mean “underrated”? Because “overrated” means you think people over estimated their talent. Which you’re free to think it’s just weird you’d call someone you think is overrated an influence
