► ABOUT FAR CRY 3 AND THE VAAS INSANITY DLC 🎮
When Jason Brody skydives with his brothers and friends on vacation, things turn awry when they are captured by the insane pirate warlord Vaas, and expected to be sold into slavery. But when he escapes Vaas' camp, he begins to journey into the heart of insanity on a quest for revenge and devotion to save his friends and end the war that enslaves the citizens. Vaas is like the lektor on UNI at comes with a riddle and then 2 weeks later, and then comes with the same riddle again and is surprised that people came to the answer that fast. Have I ever told you the definition of insanity? It was so fun.

This whole video felt like it was part of a video essay as to why Far Cry 3 is only partially an action shooter with stealth elements, but holds a dark secret underneath. It kind of reminds me of Spec Ops: The Line. The "Line" being the metaphorical line between knowing who you are... And total insanity. Jason and the "protagonist" of Spec Ops: The Line are similar in that they both go more and more insane over time, and both have ambiguous demises. I put "protagonist" in air quotes bc in Spec Ops: The Line the person you control is not exactly a hero. But, I'll leave that for you to discover. In short... The psychological plays a major role in the story of Far Cry 3 as a whole.

Before far cry 3, I've never really dipped into open world games besides skyrim but that's a story for another time as it has it's own tale and spin off series, but when I got that copy at my entertainmart march of 2013 I was deep into a game that I've never experience before. The open worldliness of the island made me feel like I was in a fucked up tropical playground, the temple bits gave me a bit of crash feeling plus the gunplay was really fun but the special sauce of that game sandwich was vaas' as a main villain. I remember getting scared everytime he captured me like he would do his speech and kill me if I just pressed a button on the controller accidentally, michael mando did a great job as him. Also there's a breaking bad reference in the game if you find a memory card for crystal meth formula and I like how years later that same guy was in better call saul

My first real open world game for me was also Skyrim back in 2014. It was one of the first games I got when I got my first gaming laptop. I've been itching a bit lately to play it again. Didn't know there was a Breaking Bad reference but it doesn't surprise me. And I watched Better Call Saul a couple years ago, it was pretty funny once I realized a few months before playing this that Nacho is Vaas lol. Thank you for your support as always Eddie!

Farcry 3 is the only farcry game I like. First one I watched on KZfaq and none have been the same for me. Amazing video it brought me right back to when I first saw this game. The MindF**k dlc was crazy good too. Vaas is what makes these games

Well, it wasn't Fat Cry 3, but then again I doubt you want to make a two hour review, ha ha. Good video nonetheless. I would love to see you review Blood Dragon and possibly some Elder Scrolls games (I see from the comments you've played Skyrim but would love to hear your thoughts on Morrowind and Oblivion).

I'm hella late, but I grew up being told that Blood Dragon blows. Tried it out earlier this year and bro, I unironically like this most than the majority of Far Cry games.

I haven't played a Far Cry game beyond 4. None of them held any interest to me. 1, 3 & 4 are the best in the series IMHO. 3 is my favorite with 4 being a close second. 1 was fun, but 3 just knocked it out of the park.
