I think a big reason she's overexposed is because no other women have leveled up to replace her or keep her on her toes. She's comfortable because she can't be replaced atm.

Nah Why would I hate Becky ? I honestly don't Hate Becky at all

I always liked her whether she was a face or a heel back in 2018. But by 2019 and onwards, WWE tried way too hard. They tried to turn her into a female Steve Austin and that was just bad. 2019 early 2020...she was coming off as cringe. WWE was just pushing her too hard. You have a roster stack full of women. Women who haven't been used. And yet, they still put Becky at the top. Whether she's a heel or a face. She doesn't necessarily has to be at the top winning a belt. I mean, she's a great wrestler. But we don't need to consistently keep seeing her at the top. She just needs to take a break for a few months.

Overly fickle fans would be the same people going nuts if she was to come back.

It could be fans like me. I just started watching wrestling after about a 10 year gap. So I don't know the great things she did. When I watch her matches all I can think is "Why is she moving so slowly and awkwardly? Is she just learning to wrestle or injured?"

She's just overexposed. Time off will be good for her.

I don’t despise Becky and I’m absolutely not comparing her to Jericho, whose screen time on AEW is exhausting at this point, but I do think we need a break from Becky for the time being. I don’t think she’ll go to AEW but let her rest up, spend time with her family and hopefully she’ll re-sign with WWE when the time is right.

I really don't get it. Becky put on great matches while contributing to the future of the division. She put over Bianca at WrestleMania 38, made people take notice of Tiffany Stratton, and put over Lyra Valkyria. "That works for me, brother!"

She’s absolutely horrible on the mic and her character is the most forced thing ever seen in wrestling. Does anyone buy her as a badass? There are Hooters girls who look tougher than Becky Lynch. I just never got what the big deal was with her.

Wrestling fans view wrestling callously. They get invested in this fabtasy booking lark and think thats the most important thing about wrestling, but it's just really them playing the megalomaniac, they're just switching performers in and out to their hearts content in "dream booking" scenarios and they transmit this attitude to the real stuff going on, because the real stuff for them just becomes a template for their fantasy booming, and they get mad at Becks and many others because they get soooooo angry when reality works out differently from their fantasy booking desires. Their egos are insulted. They hate when reality doesn't follow their own divine predictions. People turned on Becks when she returned and pinned Bianca in under a minute that SummerSlam. They don't remember the entire angle and the satisfactory payoff nearly as much as their childish rage at "the big name in the back who used their stroke to politick their push". It's ALWAYS the same thing. Just a cavalcade of people who are in favour and people out of favour. Sami Zayn has started his descent into being out of favour ever since he "stole Chad Gables opportunity". No matter how good the match was with Gunther, no matter how good his matches have been since, no matter how Gable is becoming a more refined character than he was and will eventually beat Sami for the ic title one day - He's on their sh*tlist now, many are eager to find excuses for Cody to be on that sh*tlist now too, because his reign has had the temerity to only be about an 8 out of 10 so far, they'll get him one day, and now it's Becks who has helad her enthusiasm sucked from her by a fanbase disaffected from caring about these wrestlers as anything more than numbers to make up the fantasy booking they collude over. Just interchangeable attitudes regarding who deserves love and who deserves to be frozen out. The problem is the fans, never the wrestlers.

Hate is a strong word but I can explain my falling out of love. I liked her as a dorky aw shucks babyface and her immediate heel turn was great but she lost me when it went from pissed off heel to cocky fashion model heel. Also her moveset all looks as effective as being hit with a pool noodle. That was fine before but now that women's wrestling has gotten much better, she's kind of fallen behind. Reminds me of Ronda Rousey in the UFC.

Becky deserves WAY more respect.

Becky is hated because people are hypocrites.They are upset that the wrestler they like doesn't get any attention mean while Rebecca is doing her job. After seeing how people reacted to Lyra winning matches in the King and Queen of the Ring event it showed me all people care about is seeing who they want to see shine. Lyra is a new wrestler but after she beat Iyo people were going against her. So whenever someone says Becky is over exposed and she takes the spotlight off the newer girls it basically means they are upset that their fav isn't getting a chance.

2018-2022 she had an incredible run. Her character work as Big Time Becks is fantastic and she has a great catalogue of matches and one of the best pure babyface vs. heel feuds with Bianca. She also had a program with Liv that helped elevate her. Extremely engaging with a real sense of continuity, she gradually goes deeper and deeper into her heelness and her acting is excellent.

3:05 I personally was happy that in 2021 she came back as a heel.

She can go home and be a mom and wife. She can be more present at home. She can go on tour with her book, do some acting(since she has an acting degree), start a company, and other things that require her to be off of the road.

Cornette may have been inadvertently correct when he got in trouble for saying her maternity leave was a bad move. Her time away was refreshing for other stars but her turn looks tired and stale.

You all wouldn't have survived the attitude era, sad state of affairs when it's clear these fans emotions change with the wind and when they all of a sudden latch onto someone new and want them pushed they want it right away and when they don't get it they cry online about it. Not everyone can be a star and they are few and far between so when you find them they definitely need to stay around the top of the card while trying to get others over and create new stars, not everyone works out sorry to break your hearts. Vocal minority, cry more.

People are annoyed with Becky for the same reasons AEW fans HATE Chris Jericho. They're overexposed so much.

The state of the four horsewomen right now is very interesting. I’d argue that Charlotte is overexposed and guilty of taking opportunities from other talent. Sasha, or Mercedez,seems to be trying to prove she’s still as good as she was at her peak. Bayley was putting over other women for a while and now she’s a beloved champion. I think Becky has elements of all three. Overexposure, the pressure to stay on top, though she only puts talent over or makes them look good when she’s a champion. I think that’s where she falls short. I think the fans would be behind her more with some non title feuds. Seeing her win the title,over and over, has lost its meaning for the character and for many of the fans. Becky is a better character when she’s struggling, chasing after what she wants. She’s done just that and gotten everything she’s wanted lately, so there doesn’t seem to be much left for her in terms of developing the man. At least im my opinion.

When she came to the run she had it was a underdog story, people were sick of Charlot Flair and Becky attack her which is what every one wanted to see, but once she tried heel, the wheels came off, she was the new Flair, getting undeserved chances. also more physical women have emerged and those smaller framed women seem less credible, it is a Bainca Belair, Jade Cargill, even Tiffy time have a better physical presentation and well, i am 250, 5ft 10 and 55 years old, no basketball for me so it is about how you look only not Vince's idea of it.

Her fued with Trish Stratus was highly underwhelming outside of their blowoff match , but other than that ...i have no issues with Becky , her ring work , or The Man. She's a huge star who's earned her place at the top. Wrestling fans are just impossible to please and what the internet thinks sometimes has merit , but other times , doesn't always reflect actual issues as much as opinions. Jeff Hardy was the same character for his entire wwe singles run and he had criticisms yes , but by and large no one had any problems with it. So people have a right to their taste , but ill take 6 more years of the man or even a babyface big time bex over the Irish lass kicker any day 😁

Personally, I've never cared for her and never saw the appeal. The feuds with Charlotte and Ronda were the only ones where she had my attention. Probably because the resentment Becky had with both was very real. "The Man" character only worked with those two imo. She tried to be a heel after that, but it was no good so they turned her back to The Man stuff, but that doesn't hit the same for reasons already explained. I find her above average in the ring at best and i've never been super wow'ed by anything she's ever done. I don't hate her, I just find her very overrated. *shrugs* She should take a long break an go away for awhile.

I love Becky but her elevating Bianca isn't the same as with Lyra and Tiffany. Bianca was well on her way to being the definitive top woman in WWE. She was mega over way before entering a program with Becky and while the feud was great after encointering her at that fateful summerslam Binaca went down to the midcard for a bit. Not blaming Becky but Bianca didn't need the boost or the squash

The problem was and is, that WWE has no one to carry the womens division. For the longest time it was Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch doing the job, so of course they were there every week. With Charlotte Flair out with an injury it was on Becky to be there. Also I think WWE has never really utilized Rhea Ripley as a leader when she was holding the title for ages. Seems WWE has no plan or idea how to use Jade Cargill either. After signing she did not appear for months, only to show up briefly in the Royal Rumble, then beeing off again mostly, and the getting the title that noone wants the Tag Team title. Then eliminating her against Nia Jaxx, who still has no talent or charisma. No wonder people got bord with Becky as she had to be the icon of the division with noone else there. Interesting would be if Becky jumps to AEW if Seth then follows when his contract is up.

Time to turn heal or gimmick change

I'm in the camp of Becky being over-exposed, but with that said, I understood why she won the title in that battle royale instead of Liv Morgan: At the time Liv was in a rebuilding phase after that garbage run with TRASH-Rousey and getting hit with the injury bug last year. She was definitely in line for a big storyline with Rhea Ripley, possibly ending Rhea's reign before Ripley went down with an injury. Liv's World Championship Win should NOT be in a measly Battle Royale, but that of pinning the World Champion herself and that's Becky Lynch. I don't care what happened at WrestleMania, Becky IS higher on the totem pole than Ripley. Beating Becky for the championship is FAR more impressive than beating Lynch to save your title reign. Yeah, I'm not a Rhea Ripley fan and I just don't get her appeal. As for Becky's status, she's earned a break and she is not going anywhere, and certainly NOT taking a step backwards going to AEW.

They need to allow others to shine. It’s one of the reasons why I stopped watching wrestling. It was always the same 5 people with the championships. 5 people with storylines. The storyline can be fire but overtime you get bored with the same people.

I disagree. I think Big Time Bex was the character that still had so much potential. She could've remained Bex for a little longer and it would have made a difference to how we feel about her character

In reality the internet community especially when it comes to women tends to be unhinged and in reality when you poll normal everyday fans they love becky.

While wasn’t my favorite since I got back to wrestling, but I do think she was overexpose when she was chosen as Rhea wrestlemania opponent and winning the battle Royal for the title I was more interested in liv winning all of that. Right now she deserve a break since wrestlemania 40

I think it’s similar to the John Cena situation in the 2010s just to a significantly lesser degree. She’s definitely overexposed and there are so many other women WWE could have as women’s champion.

I like her but tbh i began to lose interest in her after while, i didnt know why but i just wasnt interested in her feuds, her feud with rhea though was really good. A break is much needed, same with Charlotte she was over pushed and now thats shes gone everyone will miss her

You can't give her props for match psychology then bring up that match at NXT No Mercy. She no-sold the shit outta Tiffany at the end. Granted, yes, it was a 10/10 match. I still thought Tiffany should've gone over (not clean; with a run-in).

I heard Becky is a free agent now. She deserves the break. I admit I was also unhappy when she won the battle royal because I found her character so boring at the moment and she always seems to be holding a title. Plus she just lost to Rhea so I don’t see the point of he winning. HOWEVER, I admit it did make sense as a transitional champ cus Livs win was MUCH BIGGER and better and she seems more credible as a threat. I just think Becky was champion too many times recently and the man character was very stale lately. I personally preferred big time becks after she lost the title. She was crazy, entertaining and quite funny and her feud with Asuka was quite fun to watch. If Becky returns she defo needs the big time character (crazy Becky) or become heel cus I genuinely think that would be better for her.

The same stuff you're saying about Becky putting over other wrestlers. You're not saying about Natalya. Yet, she haven't won as many titles as Becky or even Charlotte.

Same with charlotte flair, brock lesner and tripple H back in the day, those 3 getting the belt or retaining the belt was just par for the course and made the fans not give a shit because at the end of the day it made no difference because one of those 3 were gonna end up with their respective belts anyway! It's the questionable pushes that wwe does like Roman reigns and Charlotte flair, they just get inserted into everything that has to do with the title and people are sick of it!

I definitely don't hate her because personally I don't know her but I can say that she's ran her course. I would say she definitely doesn't need the championship anytime soon. If she stays with the WWE, it's time to give to some of the younger women a chance.

Its not that we hate her or turning against her, its just that we think other performers (women especially) have proven to be better qualified than her.

I love Becky. I think she still gives tremendous promos. I love her storytelling style, I love the way she and Liv put on their match, I love her off-screen persona, and I think she is a critical part of the roster because she brings a kind of verisimilitude that you see from people like Cody Rhodes. Her stories always feel like another chapter in a Rocky movie. That having been said... WWE needs to continue their good trend of not banking on legends and nostalgia at the cost of the ongoing health of the product. Becky needs to pass the torch to some degree. In particular, WWE needs to stop putting belts on people *who don't need it* . I understand why they did so in the wake of Rhea's injury, get a good steward face to captain the ship, but I'm glad Liv gets a shot now. I think absence will make the heart grow fonder. I'm already missing her husband and I was getting a little sick of him. I think most of these downturns in relationships with fans are not a verdict on the wrestler but a desire to see the product and the story continue to advance.

I feel like it's the same that happened to Charlotte Flair, u get so popular people now want underdogs taking over instead of you. She needs a heel hated as Ronda was to Boost her again Now that she isnt the underdog anymore.

The last thing we fans need is Becky getting more opportunities over more deserving women by winning a women's mid card title. And not everyone has to to go to AEW. Because it worked so well for Paige or Sasha Banks. Even Ruby Soho before she became pregnant. Their women's roster is a complete mess 🙄🤦

Becky is the best they have in my opinion

Im just tired of seeing her as the women's champ over and over again. The same goes for Charlotte.

Some internet fans always turn on wrestlers. She is one of the biggest stars in wrestling. She probably is in that 2002 Stone Cold position where still warm but no longer white hot like she was in 2019. Becky will probably take time off and be with Seth and their little one and come back for whatever big event they have in mind. With her, Rhea and Charlotte Flair out for now there is spaces for other women to step up. Liv has the belt now and has gotta prove she can hang with it with this new heelish persona. Everybody can't be world champion as then nobody gets over and title means nothing.

Yeah, it is a strange situation. I felt that something is wrong during her feud with Rhea. Rhea is immensely popular, so having people choose between the two was awful for Becky. The problem is that Rhea is technically a "heel", but she is booked and loved like a "face". That means Becky is perceived as a "heel" while playing the role of a "face", meaning she loses on both fronts. Doesn't get to do the "heel" stuff and is fighting someone that is more of a "face" than she is. The solution was to have WWE acknowledge Rhea as the real face of the division and threat her accordingly. Play into how much she is adored by the audience, and let her be the face that runs the place. Then build feuds, heels and storylines for Rhea. Since she is already so dominant it make sense that her opponents would be heelish, cheating for the occasional win. They tried that with Nia Jax, but Nia is an awful performer and not a credible threat to Rhea. Being fat is not a fighting skill. Another solution would had been for WWE to actually make Rhea a heel. Have her cheat during matches, call fan idiots, make her use her charms for backstage politics and so on. Then a feud with face Becky would work and both women would win out of it. As it is now, Becky is a face that got out-faced by Rhea, making her lose credibility and fan interest. I think the best solution would had been to book Rhea as the beloved face that she truly is now, and either turn Becky heel or get her in a feud with someone like Bayley (before she switched), Asuka, Iyo, Liv... of course, the problem with this is that RAW was lacking heels with star power and credibility and Liv was not medically cleared.

Burying shayna baszler in 2020 was it for me.

I think the reason the match between Becky and Liv was so weak had more to do with Liv than Becky. I like Liv, but she is decent at best in the ring.

Fans made at Becky for no reason wait till Charolette comes back and stays in the main event.

I don't hate Becky but something feels off. She usually delivers in important matches but I'm not interested in day to day stuff. I feel like she's more serious now and not as witty and explosive as before. It doesn't help that I prefer SmackDown and NXT women's divisions over Raw.

She's for sure what women's wrestling should be but to much of something isn't good. I've never been a huge fan of hers even though i know she's a talent. i used to like her more when she was that under dog but now she's overly exposed and she's done everything and over came everything so how's she still an under dog? It's just hard to get behind her under dog character when she isn't an under dog at all. When she returned as a heel in 2021 i believe i was really behind her because she can play the heel who think she's better than everyone so well.

Becky has become like Charlotte when she stays too long, boring, stale and on top too often. I like both Becky and Charlotte but a little goes a long way.

I believe she should head over to aew for a while my opinion she done everything in wwe already there ain't nothing left for her there. She been on top of the mountain numerous times! Best thing for her to do go to a different company and work her way up there from the bottom to the top.
