Reid is a great value. I'm primarily a road biker and have a MTB for the occasional outing so I didn't want to spend a ton of money. The Tract 4 is a great value for a MTN bike. If I lived farther north a fat bike might be a consideration.. but we don't get enough snow to justify it

Riding on packed snow is great. I need to get a fat bike. For now, I get out on my Roscoe with mid-fat 2.8 inch tires.

Had a 2013 Salsa Mukluk. Loved that bike. Used it extensively doing trail work . Got to where I needed to go in the woods handling the load of chainsaws/gear and trail tools with little problem. When I bought the bike a friend made the comment "Riding a Fat Bike is like riding a BarkaLounger in the woods". So true. You want a super chill ride in the woods get a Fat Bike. I never felt I needed any kind of suspension. The one real thing you have to learn about Fat Bikes is air pressure adjustment for the conditions. Especially true for riding groomed trails. I have lost air in mt tires down to 1lb. and still made it back to the trail head.😂 Gave it up becasue I don't do trail work any longer. Son in law has it for work commutes . BUT, I really do like that Salsa Beargrease. 😉 It's at my price point so............😆

I love my fat bike. It's the only thing I have that makes me excited for snow 😂
