Definitely repeat of 03/04 imo. But Derek’s car is really nice!

03-04 machs have also held their value considerably better than a GT has. Granted that's a 4v vs 2v thing but I would assume although maybe to slightly less of a degree, this will still hold its value significantly better than a GT.

​@Rare Cars the old Mach had a way better engine and unique powerplant compared to a gt. I think the modern one should have a 12.5:1 5.2 cpc with a factory cj and unique cams then it would be as much an upgrade over the gt as the 03-04 was in its time. The new one is great everywhere but the engine it's just not different enough to warrant the prices they go for imo.

​@midnight347 yes I agree I think the mach1 is only worth it if you're getting stick because the Tremeck is an amazing transmission. I love it in my gt350. Might as well go 18+ gt if you're getting automatic.

GT350 FPC = poor man’s FPC. Drive or listen to a LT6 Z06, and the Voodoo sound will give you a headache. Harsh, and raspy.

This is a great point. Only people with issues come on the internet to complain. Those that are happy don't. Have to spend the time and do the research.

Regardless, just buy a 350 and get the warranty. I bought a 2017 GT350, then purchased the extended warranty through Lombard. Simple. Also, dude is wrong - GT350s NEVER came with auto rev match.

@@danielmembrillo6472 was going to point that out about the rev matching, forgot to in my comment. Also, it's not even close to a 50/50 shot if a gen 1 is going to blow up, it's actually less than 1% of engines that were effected, and they narrowed it down to one build team, which the trainee was leaving the timing tensioner blocks in, the rest of the engines were pretty much flawless (with the exception of buyers not following proper break-in procedures).

@@BestArmani Yeah but as Derek mentioned in the video they are a lot more expensive than gen 1's. Finding a super low mile gen 2 for 60k would be pretty tough.

@@Ezvy Damn can tell you haven't worked on or been around American cars too much but that's alright. Not everyone is a car guy, computers, movies, is what it is.

The GT350 has more torque, 429 compared to 420. Is there something different about the Mach 1 that gives it more torque than advertised?

@@mikehoncho7165 As I mentioned in the comments the Mach1 has more torque "down low" which means in the low RPM range. The GT350 gets the 429 torque up top in the high RPM range. The Mach 1 you are correct has 9 less torque but that's up top.

All of this happened with no warnings , no check enegine lights , no loss in performance… complete surprise

2019 & 2020 models have the GEN 2 engines. Alot of the blown Gen 1's that were replaced by Ford at a dealership were replaced with Gen 2's so you can find quite a few of the earlier yrs that have Gen 2 engines already installed. The way you can tell is look at the valve covers. All the Voodoo engines are hand assembled so there's a signature plate on the valve covers with the name of the person who assembled the engine. Gen 1 engines have 2 signatures. Gen 2 engines have only 1 signature. I'm not exactly sure what Fords thinking was, but for whatever reason they felt that one builder per engine improved the quality of the build in some way on the Gen 2's. You can find it on the internet I read about it once. Info on these cars is pretty hard to come by aside from the stats everyone already knows. The exact build numbers and repair stuff is pretty limited. I'm sure these cars will be collectable at some point. I have a 19 350R that I plan on giving to my daughters some day and when they go to sell in the future I'm pretty sure the name on that signature plate is gonna make some more valuable than others. I'm sure some of those engine builders were better than others. Pretty sure I got one of the good ones. 51,000 mi and it doesn't lose or burn any oil between changes and I rip on it all the time. If you get your hands on one Amsoil 5w50 and aftermarket (better quality) oil filer. You can buy it in a kit from a few diff websites for around $160. The sht is liquid gold. Been using since I bought the car and have had zero problems with the engine ✌️

Oh..and the Voodoo only comes in the 2015-2020 GT350 and 350R. Not sure if you knew that or not. The GT500 has a Predator engine which is the same 5.2 block as the 350's but a cross plane crank and supercharger. The Mach 1's and the Darkhorse have Coyotes.

That was biggest problem with the 350 was it has some oil consumption and people didn’t check it then it blew up from lack of oil. Just gotta pay attention

​@Raven5.0 it isn't that hard to check the oil lol. Guys that are hands off let the dealer work on it type of people prob don't belong in a gt350 anyways.
