I also figured that out. Isn’t it possible to combine it with vpn using a router that supports running vpn services? Do you have a recommendation concerning a specific router in general?

Hi Sun nice job! I've been using Adguard DNS blocking to block certain servers which our data is uploaded too. I haven't been able to find a complete guide and aside from using some PIHOLE lists Its hard for me to know which addresses to block. Might be cool if you could make a video explaining this if you think its helpful, it would be great if we were for example able to use google maps while blocking our data from being uploaded to Googles API. Hope this makes sense

Hi Sun! I really like this video series! As someone who wasn't aware of a multitude of privacy issues at the start, you've done an incredible job explaining to beginners like me. Do you think you will ever do an analogue to your MacOS video for Windows systems? Also, you may not want to create content related to the crisis right now, but I think a privacy-centered video on the the Bluetooth tracking being developed would be useful to the general public. By extension, do you think your future iPhone videos will cover health data like heart rate/other things tracked by, for example, and Apple Watch? Thanks for the great work!

Hey Mark, unfortunately I don’t know much about Windows so I wouldn't feel conformable sharing recommendations. About bluetooth tracking, Computerphile released an interesting video on the subject. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/e815mpxhyKy2hqs.html I haven't explored Apple Watch tracking. Adding that to my radar. Thanks for the push!

@@sunknudsen It's weird that the secure GrapheneOS is available on the Google Pixel phones...
@worldpeace_2644
@worldpeace_2644 2 жыл бұрын
@@robnation2475 Indeed. You could very well use Lineage or Calyx on most Android phones, but that would mean you would have to unlock the phone-meaning any government entity could get into it. Pixel phones have the ability to be unlocked, and relocked, which makes them more secure. I believe they are the only phones currently able to do that, although correct me if I am wrong.

Apple let all the apps accessing all your data in a phone. Example in Android if you want to download something they ask you if you are okay with accessing your data. An iPhone you can download from Google mail bank apps and everything they have straight access to your data and files Kind of feel nice in Android they kind of ask you.

This isn't entirely true... apps are sandboxed by default on iOS so they only have access to their own data.
