Hi Yasmine, this is a great video. I really think that you would be great as a personal shopper/ stylist. I could totally see you helping people find their style and flattering clothes for their shapes. Might be worth considering as a future career option/side hustle

I love how ambitious and driven you are! Very inspiring. Not enough women know their worth and fight for a larger pay packet! So it’s so nice to hear that even when you were younger, you fought for the pay packet you deserved 👏🏻 👏🏻

Thank you so much. I had to pinch myself many times, growing up I thought only barristers earned money like that (although they probably earn a lot more 🤣) and part of me always worried that I’d struggle as I didn’t go to university! Thanks so much for watching xx

This is such an interesting story! - i was part of the 2006 Northern Rock 100% mortgage first time buyers, and i have to say im glad we did it, even though i think our interest rate was really high like yours. mental when i think my current rates like 1.42% haha - i also moved out at 16, started a job that paid me £10k a year, im 35 now and still dont think my earnings are great (under 30k) i need to sort my career out now and get some more money,... i maybe signing up to your courses!

In my primary school we had exams that resulted in SATS scores. I still dont understand them to this day but we had 3 scores with the top being 5. I remember only a few of us coming out of primary with more than one 5. I had a 5,5,4 so was seen as a high achiever. I got placed in the top set at comprehensive school but struggled to fit in with my peers so requested i move to a lower set with my friends from primary school. In hindsight such a silly decision. I'd have excelled so much more if I had stuck to my skillset and ignored my desire for friends who ended up treating me like shit anyway.

I know exactly the feeling. I got 554 or 445 not sure I can remember 😂 but no one got even one 5 at my school so it was seen as really good! Xx

I remember American Apparel used to ask for photos when you applied for a job - horrendous!
@YasmineCamilla
@YasmineCamilla Жыл бұрын
Indeed. I was asked for a photo when I asked for a pay rise and when I sent a head shot I was told I was being silly and I knew full well a full body shot was required. It was only one specific person who wanted the photos. 🤢

❤ I wish I could get out of my full time cleaning job but I’m not good at anything else, my body hates me every day with it being such a physical job and I’m 45 this year 😢

Awe bless you, that is so hard. My cleaner is saying she’s been thinking she needs to do something else for the same reasons. I don’t believe for a second you’re not good at anything else though! My cleaner is thinking doing cakes and party sweetie bags, because she can start it before stopping cleaning. I think sometimes life has been so busy we don’t get a chance to find what we’re really passionate about xxx

Omg yeah it’s crazy, I don’t know how they think it’s ok 😳 I’d have been absolutely useless so soon after giving birth. Do larger companies offer it when you’re a higher management level? xx
@btbudgets

@@YasmineCamilla it really depends on the company itself. Small or large, they decide on their own what their leave looks like. So some companies may give nothing, some may give a lot. Most give 3 months.

@@mars263 ah so it was definitely just all helped by my budgeting journey, realising exactly how much I need to live on and the things I can flex. I actually didn’t save many months ahead, only around 2 because I just listed the ways I could make money instead so will implement them if needed - like doing content for brands, or even social media management for others. I’ve got a long list to try if I need to xx
