I love the dark aesthetic/style/essences & the astrology. Theres no one else doing this. Kibbe gave me a headache, i gave up years ago.

For the longest time I always struggled with my sense of fashion because I love the dark aesthetic but there isn’t enough information out there that puts the amount of depth that you bring. The kibbe system leaves me confused because I can’t decide if I’m a soft gamine or romantic and the fashion advice for those body types barely mention anything on dark aesthetics. I LOVE the idea of astrology for fashion. You are the only one I have come across that does this. I’m sure there are more but I stumbled upon you from kibbe. I get kibbe but it’s very difficult to figure it out. I think it’s only one piece of the puzzle.

I think out of all the systems, or methods to figure out a style, astrology seems to be the most specific and comforting because no chart is the same and it takes into consideration your internal world as well. I look forward to your 2024 content, whether a video has been relevant to me or not, I love watching content from someone that is genuinely passionate about what they're doing. If the Kibbe System is draining you, or just simply, not bringing you joy then that will be reflected in your content. Omg girll , I got to fashion school and I'm feeling exactly the same thing . I was good at illustration mood board or at least I was more prone to try harder , but in the making clothing part I wasn't so good . For years I didn't really try because I was so scared and I'm going to heal this part by making clothing for myself. I have a Psychology degree and astrology was always intriguing from a personality perspective but the way you describe it with fashion is superb! I love astrology too and of course we as an audience feel your excitement through the screen so always make content your passionate about! I love your content girl, keep it up. Also, on Kibbe, I like it more or less but I ignore so much of the harsh guidelines on like height and all that so Kitchener has always been something I favored more. Kibbe is weird because he's so strict yet at the same time he changes the guidelines. Separately, I crochet, maybe you might wanna look into that? To me, it's so much more fun and we have so much overlap in interests I have confidence you might like it too hahaha

oh yay! I love that you're going to learn how to knit! I've been knitting for about 17 years! It's my favorite thing ever. Just some little tips. Start with something small like scarfs or a beanie. Don't get discouraged if you're not great at it at first. And keep all of your first projects you make, no matter how good or bad they turn out. It's fun to compare your future stuff to them and compare your progress. :)

I've been studying and practicing astrology since the late 80s. I've especially enjoyed your astro content and just wanted to wish you the best for the new year and in your creative work. I know from my personal experience as an artist, art teacher, and all around devotee of beauty in all its forms that astrology can be a helpful guide, especially when it comes to creating a wardrobe and home that is expressive, comfortable, practical, and supportive to growth and change. I remember when I realized how much my birth chart was already reflected in my wardrobe and how the clothes that were most in sync with it were the ones I reached for again and again. I see it in my very Aries trenches and peacoats, my soft, flowing, Cancerian homewear, and the romantic, artistic Libran details like embroidery that I cannot resist. (Aries Rising, Sun in Cancer, Moon in Libra in mutual reception with Venus in Cancer)

Love this move for you! With Kitchener, you can be up to all 7 essences ( very rare to be all 7 though) It also includes the personality / walk/ body / voice etc. it’s much more of an art than a science - which is why I ended up loving his system so much. It’s a reflection of you holistically rather than just one aspect. Personally I am most excited for the DND, astrology and dark aesthetic. It’s nice to see essences crop up, but honestly I feel like I love your content most when you branch out and do your own thing. I feel like when you do your own thing with just nod to someone else’s systems - it’s so generative. Like you take inspiration and do your own thing and I love that!! Your art is also gorgeous!

Kibbe really confused me until I watched your videos and your attitude to styling made so much more sense. So I'm super excited to see what you create and share with us this year! I feel similarly that kibbe provided me with a useful base of being objective about my body and I tried some styles I wouldn't have tried other wise but overall the community just isn't my vibe. I really like your ways of expressing yourself through style and how you explain it especially as dark aesthetics! I don't know much about astrology but I found it really interesting from your videos so super looking forward to those videos and learning more about my own birth chart 😅 I've also put making clothes for myself as a goal this year! I trained in historical clothing construction but never really ended up making stuff for myself so I wanted to heal that and remind myself that I do actually love making clothes again. Your videos always cheer me up, like catching up with a sister you don't get to see very often 💜

The astrology styling sounds cool. I wonder how to manage loaded first houses and planets on the ascendant. I have 3 masculine planets rising and Leo asc at 29°, always felt silly in very femenine styles. I always say astrology just points out the obvious lol so yes my lines reflect these influences. I understand why you stopped with Kibbe's typing. It's so frustrating. On online tests, I'm a Theatrical Romantic. Based on body descriptions, I'm a Soft Gamine. Yet I look amazing in deep v-necks, which is more of a Dramatic/Gamine line that works. Also, I'm 47 and most of the information is geared towards younger women. Between that and him constantly changing his mind, it was so frustrating.

I’m kind of relieved you’re moving away from the kibbe system tbh. I get your reasons for leaving it behind. I was wondering if you were doing any more videos on personal colour seasons? I loved your advice on spring and idk if you’ve done one on summer yet. So excited to see your upcoming plans unfold. Happy new year!

love this! i’ve been following kibbe for a while but i’ve been having similar feelings about it, plus a lot of the time i’ll see examples where supposedly an outfit doesn’t look good according to the type, yet i love the look or vice versa. since you’ll be focusing more on astrology now, could i make a request to make some content for aquarius risings or aquarius in general? I find it really hard to find content for us versus content for leo or scorpios… (obviously if you don’t feel like it, that’s okay!

This makes sense I’m a weird case when it comes to Kibbe. I can only be a soft dramatic due to my height but my body has been modified since my 20’s. I used to be a true pear. I wore size 6 blouse have short arms very small wrists and hands and 34 a bra. My lower body wore size 14 my inseam 33” very long thick legs with trim calves small ankles a “pear on a stick” I was unable to wear dresses and had to go with separates after I had my baby at 25 lost a total of 85lbs (I gained 65) but the weight came off differently and my hips got smaller so more proportionate 8-10 upper 10-12 lower and able to buy dresses but separates still looked best on me. My long skinny neck and tiny upper body looked best in turtlenecks buttoned up to top shirts bateau etc… gamine? I bought boobs and then I was fully proportionate the same size top and bottom then I put on weight. Went to lower half again had lipo back to proportionate then got old menopause put on more weight now in upper body mostly. Recently lost 40lb and size 1x-2x or 16-18 on top and 14-16 bottoms lol. I still look best in separates high necks peplums empire waist and loose fitting or boot cut jeans. Skinny and flare works too I do have nice long legs. My 3 style words are eclectic comfy and fun. I get bored easily, I’ve tried all the style types and don’t look that great in natural or classic styles but still wear occasionally usually with a turtleneck and mostly dress soft dramatic on bottom and gaminish on top. Doesn’t look quite as good as when I was tiny up top but still works well. Empire waist or peplum waist high necks bold fabrics I do color well lol. All this to say I’m going to stop trying to fit into Kibbe and just focus on what looks good on me lol

I find Kibbe so restricting compared to other systems. Like Kitchener for example gives me so much joy when I experiment with my essences (I did lot of research and It seems I have romantic, ethereal and gamine essences), while with Kibbe it was neverending frustration with trying to figure out if I'm actually soft gamine or one of the romantic types, just way too much weird terminology and rules that Kibbe seems to make up as he goes 😑 Lovely channel by the way ❤

Ye a lot of the kibbie community can be really horrid , I also found many in the zyla community to be quite awful too. Hopefully when kibbie brings out his new book the toxicity will simmer down.
