I was very dissapointed by the lack of cities in GTA V. IMO the countryside felt useless because i doesnt really lead anywhere. You just drive a full circle back to the same city. In GTA SA you actually felt you were going somewhere. ANd the highways, trains and aiport were actually usefull.

Forget about "the greatest Grand Theft Auto game" argument. Man, GTA San Andreas is the greatest overall video game ever made up to this day. A timeless masterpiece.

GTA V has a bigger map, but it feels waaaay smaller when playing it. San Andreas is the best GTA game by far.

Something GTA SA perfected was the different atmospheres in every location. I always loved the orange tint in Los Santos. Not to mention, the detail of having the gun stores and alcohol shops surrounding the hood

GTA SA was such an amazing game, good times when i had a house in some city and just stayed living there for a while, then i got tired of the city and travelled to another one with a completly different atmosphere, it was always fresh and exciting, and the restaurant stops in the middle of the road always added to the experience

You can clearly tell that the devs of older games in general put in way more passion and heart. Now it’s not about effort but MONEY and SHARK CARDS

You forgot to mention the weapons that, in my opinion, are far more unique than the weapons in GTA V: Flamethrower, Electric saw, katana and etc. Also the gore where you can decapitate people with the sword, run them over with that farm vehicle, the feature to level up your skill with a specific weapon where you unlock dual wielding on the last level with the shotguns, uzi, pistols and etc. Also the bigger variety of mini games across the map: Driving school, gang wars, invading and raiding people's houses, hot coffee (if you include the non cut version), girlfriends, girlfriend interactions and rivalry (one of them can aggressively chase you if they caught you with another gf). Local multiplayer mode, dancing, bigger and better variety of clothes, kart and much more. GTA San Andreas simply had a huge amount of content and features. You could absolutely have lots of fun and things to do on the open world after finishing the missions. Something you don't feel like doing on the last ones. The most complete GTA ever and still the best to this day.

Body transformation is something that we really need back in GTA 6. And the ability to buy multiple houses. Sad that you can't do that in GTA 5

One feature i really want them to bring back is being able to recruit up to 7 people and walk around causing mayhem. Wish they had taken advantage of that in red dead 2 or even gta 5.

We deserved a top notch remake. GTA SAN ANDREAS was ahead of it’s time. The level of details, atmosphere, physical development, dialogues… are insane. When heart & soul put into work art will be created. A masterpiece with iconic unforgettable characters. forever a classic.

I think the weight changes, different fight styles you could unlock, you could even get shredded. It made the game so much more fun. Rockstar take hints make our characters feel more alive

San Andreas was so ahead of its time. It will never get old and people will be revisiting it more than GTA 5.

To make multiple silent kills at the same time in GTA SA: Use smoke grenade on a hoard of peds and when they start coughing.....just kill one of the and boom all the others affected by the smoke will also die with the same animation.👍🏻

What I liked more about San Andreas than GTA 5 is that in SA you could go into more buildings and do different things. Almost all the buildings in 5 are closed off

This tells that its not just about the graphics, its about the Realism and Attention to Details.

Fun fact: gta sa can gang the holmes and enjoying the ride, take a pictures with holmes, war with holmes and more meanwhile in gta v can't gang holmes and can't enjoying what you love it but at least holmes help kill ballas against.

All the things you've pointed out are the exact same things I'm missing from San Andreas. GTA V had so much missed opportunities like restaurants/fast-food chains that can be entered and have a meal in, or just buildings you can enter in general. Also, even though GTA V's map is bigger, GTA SA's one feels a lot bigger due to the more intricate road maps and diverse type of places. I also miss GTA SA's jets actually dogfighting you when you're max stars and in a jet yourself. And so much more god-damn missed stuff for GTA V. I guess one of the very few ups of GTA V over GTA SA is that it's graphically superior.

What i noticed nowadays that game développers work the most for Money to make it real whereas in the old days they used to work for passion to make game feels entertaining

San Andreas had 4 years to shine until GTA 4 came out, having an active modding community since 2004. GTA 5 on the other hand, still only shinning for being the last game in the franchise for almost a decade until GTA 6 comes out. Realistically, San Andreas is the better GTA here, whether you have a different opinion or not.

Man you killed this video. It's alot more gta san Andreas had to offer on top of that too, like having girlfriends, couch co cop, turf wars, interaction with npcs & more reasonable physics.

You forgot to mention that side missions as firetruck/ambulance/police officer are also giving CJ upgrades and boosts, IIRC he's becoming immune to fire after completing firetruck, gets increased armor and health upgrades after completing police and ambulance respectively, also you can get nitro boost on any cab vehicle if you complete all taxi driver missions aswell.

I absolutely LOVED the little details they put into GTA SA. everything from the restaurants, to the stats, to the cars spinning out on dirt or sand (pretty advanced for 2004) etc.. will always be my fav game I still play it once a yeat

in gta sa you can even have follower. They can help you take photos or attack other people.

Fun fact: for gta sa you can make this glitch cuz it will kill the driver instantly. All you have to do is enter the driver car and press up or W and SPACE or jump it will kill the driver. This glitch also work in multiplayer gta sa games. If you don't trust do it.

Alot of good stuff that are in older gta games to be put in gta 6. More weapons, more cars, sides missions, ability to climb or hang on the wall like CJ or Niko, etc.

Although I must admit that I really like GTA V, and I still play it to this day, but GTA SA - that game is a pure legend. One of the best experiences (if not best of all) that I, as a gamer, ever had. In fact, I don't get why at least most of GTA SA's mechanics were not implemented into GTA V. The game would have been even more fun.

Imagine seeing CJ in GTA 6

Alot of games are going towards the pay as you play online. The developers are more focused on online playing. Story mode is just the trailer so they will continue to leave certain futures such as purchasing multiple homes and interiors to get people online.

One more thing that I miss is Dog Fights, it might be possible in GTAV online but the ones in GTA SA when on 6 stars is just really very fun. I was really very disappointed when I played GTA V for the first time and found this out.

Doing Fireman, Ambulance and Vigilante missions have benefits more than just money After the final mission CJ becomes Fire Proof, Max health is extended and Max Armor is extended The rewards are great which justifies the difficulty level

Everything you said was accurate I played both for countless hours and while playing gta5 I always reminisce about San fierro las venturas and all the little towns in between. My hopes is for a mega map with the state of San Andreas the state that liberty city is in and the state with vice city. Then add all those abilities that Cj had like crouching parkour building accessibility all that gta6 could really be something

In terms of Interior There's a LOT of unused interior in GTA Sa. Other Interiors, GTA Sa have a lot of amazing cut content which sadly never come to final version due to Ps2 limitations back then

GREAT video. I just bought GTA 5 (I never really played GTA 4). I don't care for the new controls. Driving sucks and as mentioned in the video fighting really sucks. It's minor, but I loved the sidewalk conversation ability. D-pad left was negative and right was positive. I had so much fun with that dumb little addition. All the little charming details are gone and replaced with fancy graphics.

a proper crouch would have been nice, especially with all that cover shooting stuff going on I mean yeah you can "snap to cover" on the proper pre-approved objects but sometimes there'd be benefits to just putting a thing between you and the enemy's line of sight in a more freeform way

Even with the failed remastered version SA will ALWAYS be the 🐐 of the franchise 💯🔥

you can also do robbory missions with a black van during the night and enter some of the houses on the map and steal items for money

The job as a fireman, a vigilante guy and a paramedic is fun, but there is a reason why they don't put them in GTA 5 as you have businesses that you bought and there will be missions for you occasionally, some businesses can be done manually and it is always available like Franklin driving a tow truck, or Trevor selling weapons/collect weapons. However, RS can spice things up by adding the 3 classic jobs in GTA 5 but I don't know why they didn't want to

I play gta v now and your right bro there is a lot of things that are not in gta v hoping that if gta got its 6 version they bring back somethings that being missed in gta V.

Fun fact: gta sa when you maximum lung capacity you can hold long breath in over 1 minute meanwhile in gta V when you maximum lung capacity you can hold breath in 39 seconds. Don't trust me? Then try do it.

I've been saying this for years.... I remember as a kid the map felt like it never ended. Now it's like the story modes are to be boring so you can play online

If you could affect the characters physique in GTA V I think it would be funny and maybe plausible for Michael to get fat, Trevor to get skinny, and maybe Franklin to get jacked mostly for balance. xD

I would love to see the civilian service come back into the franchise . Fire truck and paramedic missions or they become part of the game as a way make money for the character. Part of the reason I played gta 3,vc & sa I would spend hours doing those missions and listening to the opera station for entire day. Quite fun

Fun fact: gta sa you can learn the driving school, learn to fly, learn to drive boat and learn to drive motorbike but after you complete most first mission in san fierro meanwhile in gta v you can learn drive vehicle only learn to fly but learn to different vehicles can't learn well.

Girlfriends also react differently based on the body wait of cj, some like skinny cj some like well ripped and some like bulky one, it a 2000s game and it had this level of details which is so good to find out.

I remember getting home with gta 5 so excited. Got it the first day it came out and was ready to play a new improved Sam Andreas. After one day of playing I got so upset I stopped. I never threw out games even the ones I liked but I made an exception for gta 5. It’s the only game that dissapointed me so much.

There was so much things to do in GTA SA. Even the side missions were fun.

They could have added such content but then it would be very hard to release on consoles. Same happened with San Andreas, the game also consisted of alot of more fun stuff such a skateboard etc, but later on it got removed due to its release on consoles.
