The problem is if you categorise in one way, don't look at the list for a long time, and then forget how you categorised. So you end up looking at both the "The" sections as well as the rest. Or you categorise some under T and others elsewhere.

Inklan Utterfield I organize it alphabetically but also by trilogy. That can annoy a bit but it’s how I do it. Connected films together alphabetically, stand-alones are separate.

If you alphabetize things that start with "The" under T, then you end up with a dozen things all under T because they all start with "The," and then have to alphabetize them a second time to keep them in alphabetical order by second word in the title; when you can just skip that step entirely and ignore "The" in titles, like libraries have done for fucking ages.
