Now don’t give me hate but chronoboble against mithrix is op He can’t even get near you because he is to slow it basically makes the boss fight super easy because the only time he can damage you is when he is near and you can just back up and he is to slow to catch up I was playing Rex and when I used tangling growth he could not even move forward (normal without chronoboble he would just teleport out of the area of the tangling growth but mithrix doesn’t seem to teleport around with the slowness

One of my favorite "gimmick builds" is to take Transcendence alongside Aegis and lifesteal items. Since you only have 1 hp, any healing counts as overflow for Aegis as so you'll get a barrier denser than a neutron star just my smacking some mooks.

I love using transcendence and purity on the Artificer, I've had 13k health in one of my longer runs and felt like I couldn't lose if I wanted to at that point.

I feel like the biggest disadvantage of transcendence is that it makes multiple items useless. You pick a transandece on an 1 hour run. Now, your 10 medkits, your 2 rejuv rakcs, 5 cautious slugs, 5 harvester scythes? All useless. Except the harvester scythes, atleast you have some crits.

Take a shot whenever he says "hp"

One thing i love about this game, is the combinations that you discover from playing... Sure Command Artifact is fun to create specific builds, but being new to the game, letting RNG show you interesting combinations is so cool! Discovery is fun! Some hidden gems...

You are wrong about PSG and infusion not synergizing. I have definitely seen them synergize together because I spent a command run doing that to achieve 10K health this update.

As someone who primarily plays loader, Transcendence is great for the hit and run style, if it gets to low, grapple far away, It works pretty damn well

Here's a question: Have you tried the foreign fruit with a gesture of the drowned and 45 fuel cells? That is more or less healing done every frame.

best way to distinguish between types of regen is passive/active regen. so on hits would be active as they require an action to get the heal. and then passives would be like slug as that require no action from the player (other than not getting hit)

Sometimes I grab a Shaped Glass and Transcendence on Mithrix runs, as long as you aren't too squishy to begin with it's fine.

i still think that maybe some sort of buff for shields in general would be okay, mainly because the con of losing a lot of your health at once and having to not get hit for nine seconds is sorta annoying to work around. my main idea for a buff is that maybe some attacks do less damage, maybe ones like projectiles (the same type that captain can block, not hitscan like wisps and golems) do 15% less damage, that way it has a challenge to it while giving a pretty good buff, especially with melee characters and squishies, while making the pick less useful for others like captain.

I once accidentally picked up transcendence as REX. Right before fighting the final boss guy, so no chance to find any way to scrap it. It was such a good run until then.

If playing captain with command artifact, go bleed/movement/attack speed with whites, and blood transfusion for green. Go to every lunar market and get trancendance. After stage 3 you should be near unstoppable. Got 300k on a 20 stage run before. Fun times

transcendence permanently places you in the Blessed range too if you're playing with the paladin mod, which is fun

melee Acrid actually does work pretty well with transcendence too, because you can just jump upwards with your utility to pretty much not get hit at all, especially with a lot of dem HOOVES

Transcendence went from a meh to S tier item when scrappers were introduced. Now that you can get rid of healing items and put them into DPS, your survivability just jumps through the roof.

Just got my first monsoon win with huntress using transcendence. It’s really good on her since it makes up for her fragility somewhat and i can just blink away from danger whenever i need to heal up. She has no problem running away from enemies so it ends up working really well. It’s definitely a great item. I think shields are generally superior to regular health now and i look for it in pretty much all of my runs (except with rex lol)

i don't think transcendence really boosts n'kuhana's. the damage from n'kuhana's is based on overhealing and max health. so basically having a bigger health pool means you have less missiles that hit harder, but the total damage is still based on the amount overhealed. only things that increase healing will boost n'kuhana damage

Honestly transcendence loader is the most fun I've had playing a a tank in a video game in a while

With REX on eclipse, you kinda have to cheese it with other lunar items like gesture or shaped glass. glass is amazing for a few reasons, being it reduces the damage you deal to yourself and doubles the healing you do from your primary. Of course healing becomes less valuable if you don't have a lot of health but I beat Eclipse 6 with 3 shaped glass after finding an aegis, and I would kill everything before I could die, and the only hits I would take were less than my aegis barrier.

Ive done a 6 million hp run with some Transcendence and tons of infusions and personal shield generators (PSG), and learned some interesting stuff: 1) 8:13 All Items which increases your health (Infusion, titanic knurl, Spinel Tonic and pearls (i haven't tested them yet)) DO increase your PSG shield. PSG is based on your health but ignores transcendence. Your health doesn't increase much by leveling up. If you are level 30 with commando, you only have 1067 hp. Having 400 PSG will only increase your maximum health to 35211. If you had 100 infusions, your health would be 11067. Add the 400 PSG and you get a maximum health of 365211. Add spinel tonic and it will also increase. 2) Upon reaching 10k health getting hit is not a problem. Add a permanent Jade Elephant and you are pretty much immortal. You can tank Mithrix easily. 3) The biggest challenge with massive health is getting barrier. Barrier decays 3,33% of your max health per second. If you have 10k health, you are loosing 333 barrier every second. If you have an Aegis but you don't have Transcendence, getting a Corpsebloom is a good idea because it will double your healing and apply it over time. 4) The easiest character to achieve massive hp is Loader. You don't need to stack healing items, and you don't need topaz brooch (which are a waste when you have high hp). You can spend all in PSG and infusions, so your maximum health will increase much faster than the other characters.

Having plenty of Gasoline, high bleed, procs, will o wisp explosions, those small bombs along with 100% crit rate and several life stealing scythes gives you some pretty neat HP regen the moment you star to damage enemies. It's near instant and I don't need to wait 9 whole seconds for it to refill in hectic moments. I just need to dish out more dps. Add in monster tooth and some normal medkits and this will generally make it hard for you to die from not getting HP. My character is just covered with healing numbers when I'm looping around.

I know I'm a bit late on this... but I've gotten the insane Shielded Strides combo. I had a MUL-T god run where I ended up with roughly 800,000+ shield, 2 strides, and a Hardlight Afterburner. (I can't remember if I had any stealthkits) The result was that taking ANY amount of damage made no difference, because the shield regen would start as soon as the Strides animation ended. The ONLY threat to my run were the Reavers. The run went over 300 minutes, and was one of the funniest Mithrix kills I have ever gotten. (also, my first experiment/meme run with the buzzsaw was a god run... so fight me) Buzzsaw is both OP and fun if you can pull it off.

Transcendence + barbed wire + bell = potent aoe from wire without loosing almost any shield (bell damage is scaled from health without shield as far as i know, so each tic would hit you for 0-1, but still will proc the wire), only minus is you cant regen shields for the duration of the bell

Trancendence with anyone that doesn't have healing or self-damage built into their moveset can be OP. Over 1000 health as huntress before looping. This is especially strong on mercenary because of the invincibility frames he gets, allowing him to essentially regen his entire healthbar by pressing his special button once.

Am I the only one whom isnt getting any shields from Aegis? (I had 30 of every healing item to test this) and my shields werent effected by Aegis at all.

enineer turrets might work whit the stealthkit combo you showed tho. but thats a big if you get 5 stealth kits :P

I still think shields in general need some sort of rework. 7-9 seconds is a long time in combat and can already be megadelayed my dot damage. Kick down the regen timer and kick down the regen per sec at the very least, and/or to make it worth taking PSG without transcendence, maybe you get some sort of buff ie +dmg on shield depletion

I honestly think Transcendence kinda sucks. I find it to be a horrible item but I am happy to see people enjoying the item and having fun with it, personally, I can't stand it. But, more power to everyone who likes it and enjoys using it.

i might just be a huntress/captain/engineer main, but i've always found shields to be useless if i get a couple glasses and a scythe. huntress: flurry hits 6 times per crit, so htiting two crits in a row = 88 health. grab a predatory instinct and some attack speed, and you'll be able to heal up to full hp from zero in maybe a second- and do it while being hurt as well. shields are near useless, because huntress doesn't need them. captain: again, one crit of m1 = 8 hits of scythe. that's 64 health per crit, assuming every pellet hits, and that basically means that if you hit someone with your m1 you get like a tenth of your health back instantly. add that to the fact that you'll be taking a lot less damage and it makes shields viable but much less powerful imo. engineer: bungus first off- but there's also the fact that you'll be staying away from enemies and being generally a nuisance with thermal harpoon rather than using your m1 to kill. in this case, mobile turrets + transcendance is *alright* but still, getting nearly instantly killed and then having to run away is boring imo

Shields can be good enough but they will never have the same potential as fantastic healing, only problem is fantastic healing is rare so ill give u the point
