Docc has the raw skill/mechanics and the instincts to play pro cs. I think players like him can transition into professional environments but they need time and experience to adapt their style to pro play, like ropz or zywoo for example who worked up the faceit ladders to make a name for themselves. Successful PUG players are interesting since they almost never practice or strategise as a 5 man unit or divide roles for several games to learn to assemble well together. They develop their game and learn how to play many positions/roles and many homemade strats they improvise on the spot. They are forced to be swiss-army knives to progress through pug elo hell. It would be cool to see up to where docc can get in pro CS.

This has me lowkey worried for the proscene. More good players will realize how easy it is to make streaming a job instead of going pro and the scene will dry out or get to a halt in advancing strategies. League of Legends has this problem where I'd say 80% of high elo players strife to be a streamer instead of a proplayer. This leads to pro teams not getting better or even getting worse when the game gets more advanced and more strategy discoveries get made regularly. The pro scene ends up with less innovative players and more people just trying to collect paychecks.

@@snipagotcha Imagine that you're playing on Nuke. We have all three cross smokes, all our team needs to do is to cross into secret against a weak or non-existent secret defense but they will fight outside and die instead because "more complex = better" in my teammates' heads. Similarly, so many 2v2 or 1v1 scenarios are lost because the team thinks the most obvious solution is always the inferior one even when the enemy's position is known and they cannot do ANYTHING against the obvious solution.

@@snipagotcha a T1 pro team will have ready protocols for an unexpected B rush. Faceit puggers will not. Problems with rushes in pugs is the level of chaos and uncomfortable nature than comes with rushing for some players and that screws up the whole spacing and trading and then the comms are too fast and loud, then if it flops everyone has lower confidence since they failed everything and they get tilted and start blaming people for baiting etc etc.. If you are lvl 10 you should easily know that the rush tactic works vs teams that have AWP anchors on sites or teams that have heavy mid pressure early, but there will always be the ones that screws up the tactic by missing flashes, missing comms and missing the balls to die for the greater good of favourable trades and they don’t wanna go in first

There's a difference between being mechanically magnificent, having a crisp knowledge about the game and doing well in pugs and elo ladders (which mean generally mean nothing aside from perhaps getting your name about, having some accolade to show, which if you're chasing after and expecting something, it's probably not going to happen for you, you're focusing on the wrong thing) and playing in match competitive settings with proper comps and set ups, layered strats and anti strats. Anyone who's played properly themselves, know this. There's no denying the guys gifted and he definitely has some attributes what he could pursue further but I honestly think the guys happy doing what he's doing, as someone said on the comments, there's more money, self control and lack of pressure in being a streamer. He's at levels he's more than comfortable to not need that push to get a general salary, depending on what level of contract he could attain and what kind of orgs would approach him, he's probably been approached already. When you get to that tier and you can generally hold your own, it's who you know and chemistry/communication. People need to understand ELO means nothing what so ever as it reflects barely anything, and it's such a diverse thing. To put this in perspective, ELO is used in Chess, 1v1, same pieces, same rules, same board, purely win/lose outcome. Counter Strike has so much more diverse set of variables, which aren't attributed, even Rating 2.0 or all the nonsense like Leetify isn't there yet to properly track these things, it's getting there and it's certainly more advanced than the past. But it's the biggest load of tripe going at the moment.

The one gripe I have with some CSGO fans discussing d0Cc is how whenever I see some of his highlights or some obscurely good moment from the dude, I comment how it's an absolutely elite play and I get so much clash in the comments from the guys who feel like they must interject with the smoothbrain: "guhh, he's not a pro player, against a pro players he'd get flashed and deleted quick yo" So errm, like - since when is pro/tournament counter strike a benchmark for what elite counter strike is? So only the pro players from elite teams have the deed/title to actually being able to be called elite for their plays? Nah dude. As far as I'm concerned, d0Cc is this super chill guy that plays pug/mm/faceit CSGO that you and I can play and that I can learn so much from by just watching his game, making notes on how he positions his crosshair or how he does site entry. He's this approachable entity that, among other pug players, plays some terrific CS and I thoroughly dislike the whole you-like-his-plays-but-let-me-remind-you-he-isn't-and-never-will-be-pro narratives that are quick to open when you mention the guy on threads/videos. Not taking anything away from pro players; they frequently play same matches d0Cc plays and they all are the cream of the crop of the game, but pro counter strike is a different beast and a different game compared to the regular mortals who play casual 15-20 hours a week so for that crowd, we/they have the absolute right to love the player and his plays that help so much with the leveling up with the craft of the game for this basic mortal CSGO the majority of us play or will ever play. Thanks for the video!

One of the best puggers but competitive is very different. Mirage T side is ideal for pug player. His gameplay is good enough for tier 1 cs but i know his coms were a weak point awhile ago and that's huge for teamplay. Many other factors that we won't know like attitude and ability to work within a team. I think he could be a good tier 1 player but I think he would rather be a big fish and chill streaming than a smaller fish with stressful competing

Nah, he's a pretty good all-rounder actually. Maybe he just doesn't want to, so he doesn't have the mindset for it.
