Maybe they care about their company and don’t want their employees to be let go. They have thousands of employees that work for them . XBOX just wants those IPs without any care I the world for who they let go. I think it was proper to reject their offer . They are thriving not surviving. Now if they were suffering it makes sense . But when Microsoft makes an offer everyone will entertain that meeting .

MT Framework was an engine for developing 3D games before Capcom used Unreal and now the RE Engine, I don't understand why it would have to be related to this type of games that were created on CPS and Naomi. That collection, if it is the same as the Capcom Fighting Collection, would not even use the RE Engine because it doesn't have that 3D room to show the titles like the Capcom Arcade Stadium.

Why do people assume that Xbox owners naturally have a gaming PC? I have a PC and it sucks at running games. The entire reason why I have always played consoles and own an Xbox(and Switch) is because I don't want to mess with the hassle of PC gaming.

@@caryslan5890 Exactly! Even I as an old School PC Gamer quit gaming on PCs back in 2012. Since then, between a Console and a Smartphone, I haven't had a use for a PC until a couple of years ago. I bought a Mini PC that has no GPU, it's an APU Build that I bought just to run Fightcade 2. Playing light games in Emulation. I also don't have a switch. So now I'm caught in this stupid situation where to play this I may have to upgrade my PC to one that has a Dedicated Graphics card if the ApU isn't powerful enough, Or I have to buy a Switch or PS4. This is literally like needing to buy an Arcade 1up to play the game. Why? Because they didn't want to put th game to Xbox?! Like, Doesn't Capcom make enough money that they could have taken a loss for the people and given us a Port for the most Historical Games of Human History. Then we have some Bozos going out of their way making stupid comparisons to this lame Niche game Ace Attorney. I don't give a f about no damn Ace Attorney. I don't even pick Ace in Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, How people think it's ok to Compare the sales of that series to use as a Mark for saying how these Legendary games is just Flat Out Stupid.

The same reason its not on the PS5 they don't want to update these games for the more powerful systems most PlayStation owners are still on the ps4 while the series S has replaced the Xbox One for the most part so it makes sense that it's on there it's a tech issue not a console war one

Valid points, but the issue that nobody brings up and probably why Capcom snubbed Xbox is the ban of unlicensed 3rd party peripherals that M$ implemented not to long ago. I and along with other people that bought the Brookman XB adapter can't use it on the series consoles. So, Xbox community do not have Lever-less \ Stick options. Therefore, the majority of the FGC TO's will run their tournaments will on the PS5 instead.

I'm guessing it is because the predecessor for this collection, Capcom Fighting Collection might not have sold enough on Xbox One to justify putting in the effort to port Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection. The Capcom Fighting Collection released on the Xbox One, PS4, Switch and PC in 2022.

Maybe Capcom already approached MS about bringing it over but couldn't get a guarantee that the game would be a 100% 1:1 port down to the frame and timing. Since MVC2 especially was one of *the* tournament staples for the FGC, it could have been an issue that weighed against them choosing to port it aside from a potentially significant lower sales projection because of the install base. Or maybe Capcom got some financial assistance from Sony to help assure that the Playstation platform would be the single one that would be used for tournament play and they already have a stronger history of FGC support than MS does. Like you said, the door is open so there must be a reason why they didn't step through it.

0:42 that excuse is BS for a couple reasons. for one, the Capcom Fighting Collection (with Darkstalkers) & the Beat Em Up Collections (with Final Fight) are both on Xbox already... & those run on the EXACT SAME ENGINE as the MvC Collection. so thats BS... & secondly... literally the first game ever seen on MT Framework was Lost Planet, an Xbox 360 timed exclusive. Lost Planet & many other 360 & Xbox One MT Framework gams are back compat with Series X. its not that hard, nor is it that expensive. we've seen time & again where devs say we can't do this & that & then a single dev on PC with no budget does it & makes an unofficial patch in like 2 weeks. if they wanted to make it work, they could make it work. I just think the Japanese have something against American console makers. idk what it is.

Games like this don't sell on Xbox, the engine is too costly on that system, gamepass will hurt the sales of the game, and it's available on systems that are 100 mil each. Xbone and Series aren't even close to 100 mil in total. Who doesn't have a PS4, Swtich or PC at this point? Especially the Xbone disaster that they haven't recovered till this day.

It is the dumbest excuse that one of the latest, most advanced consoles is somehow unable to play a series of games that are nearly 30 years old. Xbox has an image issue with 3rd party games skipping out on the console. XBOX NEEDS TO MAKE THIS WORK. The street fighter collection runs on it. The last CAPCOM fighting collection runs on it. XBOX NEED TO PAY THE MONEY TO GET THIS ON THEIR CONSOLE. THIS IS MORE EXCUSES.

multiplats routinely sell vanishingly low quantities on Xbox, precisely because of Game Pass and also Xbox gamers' own preferences. anecdotes and exceptions aren't the same as trend-lines. don't be sad about it. Capcom are testing the waters to see whether they can make an MvC4 and expect strong sales. i'm sure Xbox will get the next MvC, if Capcom decide to publish it

The easiest way to put it is Capcom is a toll road and PlayStation and Nintendo have licensed booths to collect pay from traffic. Xbox has to pay rent for it's own booth on that toll road but is waiting to see if the traffic is worth the hype. Worse case scenario, Microsoft still takes a partial dub due to how involved they are with PCs. That said, for the moment being, console owners are collateral until the market shows Xbox needs that port. In other words, Microsoft still got a piece and customers will always be statistics in the world of business.

Piracy is a thing so I'm just gonna let them take this. Xbox series S is able to run switch games pretty well on modded hardware so I'll just get it that way or run it on my steam deck switch emuulator because hahaha yeah not releasing it on xbox for some dumb ass reason like that makes me not want to support their collection titles ANYMORE

"X bums" that's unfair to say. We still needed to buy the console. And there are games that aren't on gamepass that we buy. And let's be honest. If you could sub to an app that gives you access to a variety of games to play, wouldn't you? I bought many games that I wouldn't have because I played it first on gamepass.

Georgemoncayo. The PS4 games are compatible with the Sony PS5 games my man. You will be able to play Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection on your Sony PS5 console. I have to get my Sony PS5 game console repaired or replaced. It was attacked last year by AI. That is messed up.
