I legit feel like MKBHD is selling out lol , Like He recently Joined Skillshare , Curiosity Stream &Nebula , KZfaq Premium (last year) , has a VPN as a sponsor (ExpressVPN) , Has his own merch store etc... Although , I feel like It’s like the general consensus of every YTber In the beginning they’ll be starting small and then they’ll get a gathering and have a respectful size of subscribers , Once they reach a certain milestone , they become more “professional” ... For example : 2013 MKBHD and 2021 MKBHD doesn’t even seem to be the same...

Go get the "video speed controler" add-on to speed up or slow any video streaming on your brower !!! It's by 0.1 increments, so you could even hit the sweet spot of 2.40x !!

I almost never watch in Nebula because I find it so slow and it keeps loading (just slightly better when casting, but not by much) So I have it mainly to support the creators on there.

I am a paying Nebula subscriber but still watch all your content on KZfaq... Mostly because of two things: the homepage feed and the comments section. The feed means you never have to look for specific content, you just scroll through suggestions and all the latest from your favourite channels will be there, as well as some unfamiliar names with cool topics. And I love reading the comments under every video, often while it is still playing. It's a social thing, as well as curiosity about people's opinions. I used to watch Nebula via mobile website and it was terrible... No tap in the middle to pause, no double tap on the sides to skip 10 secs, no audio playback while screen is shut off, no download for offline periods. Thankful to have just discovered that you do have an app with these features.

To provide you suggestions, Nebula has to track you. So I can pretty much say people who use Nebula mostly don't like tracking. So that kind of compromise is something that you have to deal with.

I love the idea behind it. Hope they'll be able to grow and hire more engineers and set up more data centers. Right now it's still a bit slow and clunky. Which is understandable. Building a fast video streaming platform to compete with YT is super difficult. I hope they succeed.

On CuriosityStream, it says that nebula is only included in the more expensive 4K plans. Am I also getting access to nebula with the HD plan?

Hmm, where did you see that it's only included in the 4K plan? I wasn't aware of that and haven't heard anyone complain so far. Also doesn't seem to be mentioned in their FAQ: help.curiositystream.com/hc/en-us/articles/360034158291-CuriosityStream-Nebula-FAQ

Btw. you can NOT zoom smoothly between 70 and 105mm on the Xperia 1 III. You have the option to go 70 OR 105mm - nothing in between.

Already a Nebula subscriber but not using it as much because there is no mobile app yet. When are we getting a mobile app for Nebula? I consume most of my content on my phone which is the case for a majority of the people so please get it released soon.

Since you haven't received an answer to your question, perhaps you might try watching the Booth Junkie here on KZfaq. Mike has loads of comparison videos on all types of mic products and advice on personally suitable DIY sound booths. His advice helped me choose a Blue Yeti desk mic which I am loving, even though I have to place my pc on another surface. I've got a cheap desk which vibrates sound. If you do end up with a Blue Yeti make sure you either use the desk to set it on (it comes with a nice heavy base), or, if you choose to attach it to an arm, make sure you choose one that can support its unusually heavy weight. I forget which microphones Mike uses, but he covers many of them extensively and does voiceovers for a living so his advice is realistic. Cheers

everyone keeps talking about how nvidia’s gpus are used for AI in the data center. one very overlooked feature is ETL which is basically just a long task containing many SQL commands. And while many companies don’t heavily use AI, almost everyone who has a datacenter uses SQL on their databases. There was an Nvidia project launched last year called Rapid which basically did just that: accelerate SQL on gpu. And much of the datacenter advancements they showed are required for that.

I found it hard to use Nebula because I would watch shows on Nebula and later on yt my feed was basically full of watched videos, and when i stopped watching it i realized i had no content on youtube for a good week :D

Nvidia's plan has huge potential especially if 5x Performance mark is possible. As for Data center with Specialized workloads, ARM and it's philosophy aligns like a lego. General purpose will still require x86 as it has raw number crunching I guess.

Yeah that DPU can be mimic using FPGA. There's a reason why AMD bought Xilinx and announced their infinity architecture way back. Nvidia is not the first to announce this datacenter strategy but it's AMD.

I have premium YT and I pay for Nebula. YT is now not allowing a user like me to turn off auto-play. I used to have to turn it off after they would reset my settings. That happened every six months or so as they seemed intent on increasing my significant watch time. Now there's no option to stop auto-play on the PC. That even meant that my previous attempt at commenting disappeared when it flicked me over to a MKB video. So I would love to ditch them. I pay for Nebula. I just wish it was better than it is. It is missing so much core functionality. The biggest thing for me is saving videos into catalogues that I can use and share later. I wish it linked back to the YT video if the creator wished that or there was a way of sharing a video where people can watch the first 3 mins and then it says to join.

We have no plans to adopt a decentralized platform right now. We already have a shared ownership structure that makes it unnecessary

I've had nebula for a while, but as it turns out, the lack of a comment function is in fact not a blessing but an enormous shortcoming, at least with the kind of videos I watch. The pewdiepie area of the video world is another matter, buy with thinking people's videos, people's comments, explanations of things the video maker left out and timestamps tend to greatly elevate everything. And then there's my main use of the comment section: notes to myself, so that I know what my takeaways and timestamps are when I return to the video

Nebula sounds great but tried to find the app and couldn't. If its just a website I'd recommend making an app as that's what most people would want, a competitor to KZfaq.👍

The Samsung Galaxy K Zoom was also and Android Phone with a continuous optical zoom. And prior to that, both Nokia and Samsung released Symbian based phones with the feature. I think that you could class them as being variable telephoto, unless you're being very arbitrary about what you class as telephoto. Also, I would suggest Samsung's current Galaxy S flagship counts in the same way. It might be Sony's first phone to have the feature though.

just letting you know with curiosity stream, i have been advertised about it from many other youtube channels i've watched. But dismissed it practically instantly and moved on. The way that they advertised to me didnt grab me, i thought oh here we go again another patrion but with videos as extras. The way your phrased it actually seem interesting and i just might give it a look.

I don’t think so. This CPU is specifically for data centers because only there exists tasks which use (almost) only the GPU. As far as I know, this chip is still way off the performance you would need for newer games or at least worse than AMD/Intel
