Remember that, taking it slowly and not jumping too quickly, makes you not only more attractive and desirable, but it gives you enough time to evaluate how far you should allow your emotions to go

@@SusanWinter TRUE TRUE TRUE. It's so challenging to re-calibrate to a dating / getting to know ladies frame, after being widowed. My wife & knew each other so intimately - (32 years happily married - until Liver cancer took her) - that my skills are rusty & unrefined. Plus dating seems to have changed BIG time since 1988 when last I did it. Or so it seems.

Thank you! That is exactly what happened to me. He was in a hurry to get exclusive. And I wanted to date around and meet a variety of men so I could pick someone who would be a more compatible fit.

Hey susan..... how do you not feel envious of people who just have it all perfect? Like I know a guy who met his girl at 19, is now rich and famous and travels the world with her they got married too.... it's like problems don't exist for them.... and me meeting the wrong kind of women all the time.... how do you not just get envious that you're just unlucky?

No one gets out of this life without experiencing pain and hardship. You cannot have all day and no night. You can't have all light and no dark. You're just not seeing it because you're focusing on two things that you don't have that you want: a loving partner to whom you're married and a great lifestyle. Perhaps you have a great career and friends, but you are idealizing this guy life.

However long you can string him along. Don't worry, he will let you know when the time is up, by dumping your game-playing a$$ and moving on to someone serious.
