Texture quality doesn't really affect fps so you might as well set them to max if you have the vram.

I usually set my textures to high/ultra every time and set other graphics settings to optimized settings/medium-high combos. Just recently found your channel and I'm loving your content! Keep em coming!

This is what I've been saying for a couple years now. The first option is WAY better. The beautiful thing about it is that you don't have to put all of other settings on low. Ultra textures+mid to high other settings would look amazing and performance would be great as well. This is why desktop 4060 ti 16GB is so underrated. Yes, it should be a little cheaper than it is, but other than that it's an excellent GPU and I'd get it over 4070, would be cheaper too. Same with 3060 vs 3070. And yes, Nvidia can go f themselves for their vram policy, ESPECIALLY on laptops where 16 GB 4060 ti simpy doesn't exist and they want us to go for 3-4 thousand dollars 4090M if we want 16 gigs. Who knew textures was what made games look good /s But for real tho, VRAM is becoming the limiting factor for GPUs is not healthy for the industry. It leaves performance (and visual experience) on the table by not being able to use higher fidelity textures or more advanced visual options.

It's amazing how so many games look better with ultra textures at low compared to ultra settings and low textures.

best example of this is to try playing old call of duty games with low textures, and it immediately looks bad regardless of the shadows and effects turned on.

endlich mal ein "innovativer" vergleich, den man wunderbar in der praxis nutzen kann. generell zeigt das auch wie wichtig es ist nicht mit VRAM zu geizen. es mag zwar hier in den konkreten beispielen bei 1440p keine probleme geben. aber wenn man nur "ein megabyte" zuwenig vram für ultra-texturen hätte, dann hätte man auf der linken seite (low settings + ultra textures) schon gestotter und die schöne, knappe fps-verdopplung bei schöner bildqualität wird wegen unterbestückung zunichte gemacht. beste beispiele um das zu reproduzieren sind natürlich diese 4k+ mega-textur mods. oder dann eben ab 2560p auflösung + ultra texture + low settings.

rdr2 will try the ultra text and low setting to se how it looks in 1080 on my pc because i get low fps w my pc rtx3060 12gb i5 12400f 16gb.. if it looks better or as good and i can get a stabel 80fps(so it doesent drop under 80fps ever it would be just great) Thanks 4 this and 2 games that are demanding like the T.L.O.U part1+RDR2 is worth testing to see how it differs

What about the OLED laptops, do a comparison inbetween normal and them, does the OLED with medium settings looks better than a normal screen with High settings?

For me Hi Motion blur and cinematic capped 30fps is important for Minecraft.

wanted to try out really quick r5 6600h rtx 3050ti 80 watts +190 core +500 memory Dlss quality Cyberpunk Low Texture + Ultra Preset = 55-60 High Texture + Low Preset = 80-90 But probably you should just balance texture quality with other settings while disabling some unnecessary graphical options such as motion blur. I feel like medium preset is still the easiest way to balance performance and visuals. But if you have a gpu with decent amount of vram, turning up texture quality would make it look better without hurting fps

show this to people who recommend 4060 8gb over 3060 12gb. never trade vram for a little bit of performance

Someone should do a massive profile on steam deck and PC pro graphic setting clips. Just tons of games on voted settings from the community so newcomers can come and get there games best settings setup. Shit I'd pay if someone did a fucking only fans on it lmfao. I'm a life long Xbox fan. Never used any other consoles outside of ps 1 and 2 when they were around. But I see these graphic settings and I get overwhelmed.not one game has really great explanations so I gota piece everything together through hours of research for just one game at a time. Very time consuming. And I always end up playing with setting during game play distracting me from important story monolog. Gaming industry eclipsed everything this year in entertainment industry so it'd be smart for someone to get it on
