Oh dear. I haven’t exactly been a huge fan of the live action Star Wars TV shows but I’ve decided to give this a try. Mandalorian totally lost me after a bit. I really want to enjoy Kenobi, but thank you for properly setting up my expectations.. first episode looks good so far but yeah I know it’s about to become diarrhea

I called it on the show after the Child Leya chase scene, where multiple bad guys faiiled to chase a literal child due to some branches and small mud slides. It was so unbelievably disney I couldnt handle it. I TYPED THIS SHIT BEFORE YOU SAID IIT THANK FUCK LIKED AND SUBBED

You should watch the Obi-Wan Patterson Cut. It's a fan-edit of the Obi-Wan show and it was made into a movie. It takes out a ton of Reva clips and other things and it's definitely better.

I watched the kai cut of kenobi when it first came out and it did a similar thing to that but yeah I don’t think any sort of cut really redeems this show.

It sucks because: 1. They threw the titular character aside and instead made the show about a random unlikable character nobody cared about. They casted a black woman as a shield from criticism against that character too. 2. It retcons A New Hope

Definitely the most George Lucas esque thing Disney has put out. Moments of excellence juxtaposed with moments of cheese and head-scratching execution decisions.

Whilst I agree that OWK was largely dreadful, your argument that the protagonist not appearing for 12 minutes is just silly. Luke didn't appear until 17 minutes into ANH.

Well ANH is not specifically about Luke while the Kenobi show is specifically about Obi-Wan. Sure it may sound like nit picking but I was more so mad that they made reva the focus of the show

I feel like the dark disciple being retconned isnt as bad though because its just a book. I think its cool that we see ventress in the bad batch, but at the same time I feel for people who read the dark disciple because that was a good ending for ventress
