We have been trying to get away for a few days too but the weather just has not cooperated as of yet here. I find here that when the power outage season is here, Winter, everyone wants to know about solar but as soon as weather calms down, everyone just goes away till the next power outage! LOL!

Yes, that seems to be the case. Then come the next power outage, they all remember. And still have not got themselves even a generator. But that's ok as they can't buy fuel for it anyway as all the servos have no power as well. They seem to have a 5-minute memory and even less of an attention span. Maybe I am just getting cynical in my old age. Or maybe I need to go bush and reset.

Yes, it's nearly time to start getting the camping gear ready, we've had a huge wet season in FNQ and its starting to cool off nicely now, I'll be giving the Delica the once over shortly. Part of the enjoyment is also the preparation. I'm like you I'll happily spend a few thousand $ on solar or camera gear, BUT if I go to buy a new pair of shorts it's like $20 REALLY, I wonder if I can find a cheaper pair elsewhere LOL !!! 🤠😎

We have been working hard solving other people's problems. Would much rather be camping. Still waiting for gear to arrive, so we can't leave yet. I find out at the end of the month what is going on with the other thing I have stuck in shipping Que in Germany. Never ending story. Now I have to wait for the new Ac battery charger to get here before we can go. One thing is for sure, when we go bush, we will want to stay there for as long as we can.

We have lots of bush in Canada but not too many roads through it so we are confined to where people have been already and still are. Now a canoe will take you to parts unknown.

I am just too old to paddle a canoe. However, with the right engine and water jet propulsion, I am sure I would manage. The Cold weather would keep me out in winter, and all the mosquitos would keep me out in summer. Give me deadly Australian critters any day. That I can handle.

We got rain coming on Tuesday.... finally. I wanna do a trip in my little caravan but my ute has a blown motor at the moment. I was looking at getting a Mahindra but when I rang them last week, they tell me they don't make the single cab anymore 😔

That is so sad. It's a damn good deal at the time. When I upgrade this one, it will be to a 4x4. The one I have is a 2x4 with automatic rear diff lock.

@@JustinCaseSolarPower Yeah I am chasing a single cab 4X4 and was keen to try the Mahindra. They told me they only make the dual cab now. I already have a dual cab but when I go away I wanna fit a few dirt bikes on the back and the dual cabs don't have enough room for two bikes plus some gear.
