Incase you are new to the channel. We are Lou & Sylw and in this video we take a quick 1 week tour around the coast of the beautiful Montenegro.
We originally planned to stay in Montenegro for at least 2 weeks but it turns out the UK and Montenegro no longer recognise the old Green Card insurance. So we had to purchase additional insurance through a broker and it wasn't cheap at £255 for 15 days in Montenegro and Albania! 🤑
In this video, we make quick stops at the historical cities of Kotor and Perast before driving south to the hugely under appreciated lake of Skadar/Shkodra! 🏛🐟
In the last sequence of the film we will also introduce you too our new puppy Pepper. We found her all alone by the lake and obviously we couldn't leave her to fend for herself. She led us to believe she was the sweetest little dog in the world, how wrong were we? 😅👹
Obviously, we already have 3 dogs and adding a 4th was a daunting task. So we contacted the charities in the area but unfortunately they were all full. So we have decided to take her on the journey with us!
One of the charities (Stray Aid Montenegro) that we contacted did also reach out and help us to get her to the vet to be vaccinated and help translate with the vet to complete her paperwork. If you would be kind enough to help that charity by either donating a small sum or even better adopting one of there dogs (Only 380 Euro). They are doing an excellent job by feeding the street dogs and they also help rehabilitate and rehome those dogs. They genuinely are brilliant and kind people and they deserve our support! ❤️

Thank you Claire. She is a little cutie but my god she is hardwork 🤣 Montenegro is a really nice little country tbh. We enjoyed our time there. Wish we could have stayed in Kotor and Perast a little longer but thats the way the cookie crumbles! I am not going to lie a few of the parkups had bad reviews like that and break-ins. So we were never away from the van for more than an hour or so and it was hard to take the dogs anywhere because of the strays but still worth the visit! 😅👍

Thank you guys. She is a little cutie but my god she is a devil in disguise 😅 There was 2 other places we wanted to visit but we didn't want to risk the snow/icey roads. One was Tara Canyon and the other is Dormitor Lake. So check them out aswell if you go! 😅👍

Thank you Glenn. Its really sad to see the older dogs on the street aswell and we do stop everytime we see them on route to a new location and feed Sylw feeds them. But obviously with temperatures dropping to below 0°c at night and her already being underweight and young. The pup needed a home! So 4 it is! 🤷♂️🤣

Brilliant comment 😂 Your going to love it. The fortress itself is very impressive but the views were something else. You will be surrounded by mountains and the old town is beautiful aswell (DRINK!). Thank you Amanda. That road is brilliant. Its about 10 minutes from Kotor and its actually called the Serpentine Road. Well worth the drive if you are ever in Montenegro! 😅👍

Yeah don't take there advice of "Get the Green Card at the border" because you can't in Montenegro. You can in Albania but its only 3rd party. That is €49 for 15 days. That sounds like great fun. We are working our way through Albania, Greece, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Bosnia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Hungary, Austria, Czech, Switzerland, Germany and back to the UK. Next year we want to see France, Italy, Spain, Portugal etc. Then Scandinavia. Then finally the route you are taking! That is the plan anyway 😅 🤷♂️

I know what my wife would have done Lou and that’s exactly what Sylw did ! 😂😂 wee pepper is absolutely gorgeous! She’s always preferred dogs over people and at one point we also had the four, but getting a bit too old for that now, so one will have to do 😂 I’ve bought some coffees for you guy’s and really hope everyone else does what they can to help. Thank you so much for watching, commenting and for the coffees! 😍👍 Glad we are not the only crazy dog people out there! 🤣 But yeah we definitely prefer them over the majority of people. Dogs are just so innocent aren't they! But at this rate we are going to need a trailer 😅 Sylw does have a kind heart, especially when it comes to dogs and animals. I am to visit Sutomore in April and travel around a little as well. Rather angry that Wizz just changed my flights by two days , so I have to book alternative London to Podgorica flights. Ireland to Dubrovnik was more expensive so that's why I had a four flight schedule. That aside 😂 I can't wait for my first visit and hopefully the first of many to Montenegro and the Balkans. Well done guys another amazing video and such stunning views. We love dogs however 4 is a bit of a commitment and travelling I'm sure this adds to the pressure and space, which you already know affects where they all sleep. They are your children and you love them and care for them as anyone would do. With a van full I'm sure there will be no time and privacy for starting your own family... Lol Lol.... You are having a great time and keep on enjoying the adventures, NO MORE DOGS though!!!! 😅😅😅

Thank you Andy. I have said that 4 is the absolute limit. No more under any circumstances, whilst we travel in the van atleast. Its certainly tight in here but they all have there own space they go to. The collie and pup go under the bed. The Turk sits on guard in the front and the old boy sleeps on the bed! 😅 Anyway, thank you for watching another. Onwards to Albania next. I have never seen so many stray dogs in all my life!! But there will not be any new dogs in our van. Just a couple of 20kg bags of dog food to feed them as we move down the coast! 👍🍻

I think there'll be a big problem with unwanted dogs over here once people aren't allowed to work from home anymore mate. At least you've done your good deed with the pup. Every time we go to Greece we want to bring a dog back when you see them on the beach drinking salt water . 🤦 Enjoy the rest of your trip. I'm sure you could get another 2 in there lol 🤣

@@paulski7989 Thank you mate. Its really sad tbh. I have just seen an article about 57 labradors in a Liverpool shelter that were ordered to be bomb disposal and guide dogs and they are not wanted anymore. So annoying! Anyway, thank you for watching. We appreciate it! 👍🍻

Yeah your not wrong. We are weighing up our options at the moment. Obviously Sylw is from Poland next door to Ukraine and she would really like to help at the border but at the moment we are 1500 miles away and we have the 4 dogs to think about and my brexit 90 days allowance!! We do feel kind of useless from here though and its made us doubt whether we should continue travelling when something so horrible is happening on the continent. So we shall see. Yeah they are coming home with us at the end of the year. Three of them lived back in the UK with us already. Check out Stray Aid Montenegro on our Instagram. I think its like €380 to adopt one! 👍

I was born in Bpool. My old man is from Castleford in Yorkshire. So I am told my accent is a mixture of the 2 🤷♂️ Sylw is from Poland but has lived with me in Bpool, unfortunately 😅👍
