Getting a job in Thailand is almost impossible for a foreigner and this is why most foreign expats living in Thailand choose to earn their income online.
Starting and online business or working for yourself is not for everyone and can be difficult.
In this video, I discuss 3 types of people who should NOT start working online and who should NOT start their own online business.

Love your hard truth, pull no punches delivery. These practical and mindset skills that lead to success in this space (and in most areas) are muscles, just like those we use in the physical world. And they need to be exercised, and some people start with more than others. But we have to all be real and acknowledge where we are at. And then do the fkg work!

Good video. A tough pill to swallow and still hurts me hearing it honestly, but it needs to be said. I started my own business nearly 2 years ago and although I can make so much more than what I made being employed - running my own business is way more stressful and tiring than any job I've had. I HATE what I do at times and often times resent clients, but the truth is being able to work for yourself is a privilege and a blessing. Yes running your own business does give you more freedom and money, but its not all sunshine and rainbows. One good thing you can say about the UK is if you want an easy life without stress a part time job or living on benefits will give you that. I've done both. But if you want loads of money you have to earn it through crap that nobody wants to do, which is why you're paid for doing it. I'm not smart, I'm not a uni graduate, I wasn't successful in school, I don't even have any formal qualifications relevant to my business. Anyone can make loads of money, even me. You don't need luck or smarts. I'm yet to come across a well-paying form of self-employment that doesn't have a catch, I'd be interested to hear if there is one. Great video mate. Really appreciate your content 👍

Great video. Stubborn, determined and relentless are 3 words that spring to mind when I think what I've needed to be to get to even a modest income online. Definitely not an overnight or "within 30 days" thing and immediately skip any KZfaq ad that comes up (there are plenty) that tries to make out that it is.

Great video Brett. I think a lot of people in the world today lack accountability and are either unable to or unwilling to see and admit their own flaws and make the changes necessary to succeed in work/life, or become a better person etc.

Dealing with reality when starting a business is so true even in your own country. Doing it abroad requires to be even more careful and rational. Too many people live in Fantasyland and want to start their business for wrong reasons (hate their boss, believe they can work less..). They just see those who already succeeded enjoying their life, but usually this come from blood, sweat and tears).

You are absolutely. right. And there are not only the problems with yourself. It is the surrounding also. I live in Sansibar. You have to realize that it is not like at home: no Amazon, nothing to buy like at home. You just get what is there. Ant then the different culture, language, food, etc. It can be extremely frustrating if you are alone and on your own. And: powercuts happen all the time. You do not know when and for how long. You have to be very stable and strong to cope with all of that.

Dear Brett, I've been watching your videos the last week's and I have been laughing a lot, so Tha KS for that. Why?.. Well, several reasons. I looove how u talk, the way you say things is so pure (wondering why all the swearing doesn't cause issues with utube, but it's good..) the how u explain and the comments about people with no money but not willing to work on Saturday or Sunday.. I laughed my ass off.. I have worked 51 weeks for the last 6 years, building my own business... Now I sold the company and in June/ July I will be moving to Thailand.. Not for working for making money, just wanna work so I don't get bored out... Bore out is worser than burn out.. Take good care, keep up the good work, mate. Thanks for sharing those thaughts with us.. My best wishes follow, take care, nino

Great advice Brett. I generally agree, but that doesn't mean you do something you're passionate about just because you like it. If there is demand for something, there is no reason why you can't fill the need, even if you don't have "life-long passion" for it. When you make decent money, you often start to enjoy it.

I like the weak mindset thing. It is so true. But I have missed the survival aspect in it a little bit. You do not have only to get clear with yourself, there are a lot of roadblocks and little accidents you have to go through on the way. If you are not able to survive in "not that good" situations you will probably not make it. And you always have to understand that things can go worse from one moment to the other. You need to be strong enough for the bad times, not always need to having fancy ideas but you need to have a strong will. As we all know, sun is not always shining here in lovely Thailand...
