A Wisconsin man stands trial for allegedly murdering and dismembering his parents without remorse, and providing false information on their disappearances. Chandler Michael Halderson, 23, faces charges including first-degree intentional homicide. Remains from his father Bart Halderson, 50, and mother Krista Halderson, 53, were found days apart, authorities said.
Defendant Halderson reported his parents missing July 7th, claiming they left their home in the Village of Windsor days before on the 1st. He told WISC-TV at the time that they were going to the village of White Lake, Wisconsin.
“My last message I got from them, they were going to White Lake for the Fourth of July,” he told “There are some festivities that go around there. Better drink prices at the bars. Stuff like that.”
He said that to his knowledge, they were then going to their cabin in Langlade County.
“Along the way, they could’ve stopped many places,” he said. “I wouldn’t know all of them.”
He was allegedly just feeding everyone lies.
Bart’s torso was found in rural Dane County, while remains from Krista were found in Sauk County and property run by the Department of Natural Resources, according to court documents obtained by The Wisconsin State Journal.
Their son had been searching Google for terms like “Body found Wisconsin,” “Woman’s body found in Wisconsin,” “Wisconsin dismembered body found,” and “Dead body found in Wisconsin,” authorities said. Investigators suggested Chandler Halderson used to a visit to property belonging to the partner of his girlfriend’s mother as cover to hide his father’s torso nearby. He had shot Bart Halderson at least once before dismembering him, officials said.
According to investigators, Halderson said after his arrest that “you don’t know the whole story,” and that he “didn’t feel bad about what I did.”

Parents were responsible and took a interest in their children's education, living conditions, physical health, and expected them to become respectful adults. One son is, and one decided to let Mom and Dad support him, while he lied about everything. I'm sure the life insurance was of interest since he wasnt about to support himself. Even had his GF and her mother paying for him. He's a narcissist, certainly not neglected.

The parents were so neglectful, they never even told their sons to never talk to the cops without an attorney present. Sounds like "Family feud" and endless gaming were the only "upbringing" they had. So Chandler talked to the cops, lying as he had learned to do during years of parental neglect, leaving his attorney with very little to work with. Still, once the Prosecution rests, we'll hear what the Defense has to say.

Every single witness she has less then two questions of and even then the questions are not pointed !! Then she goes after the tree guy ? What ??? This is why they had the judge recuse Mark Means from the Lori Vallow case before the trial . Yes, it made me think of my own parents and how could I ever get mad enough to even think about doing what he did. I could NEVER. The worst thing I've ever done to my parents was cuss at them when I was a troubled teen. I went through a phase where I didn't care about anything but partying and running the streets. It lasted a few years and I quickly got out of that phase. I went to prison for 3 years and cried everytime I called home or got a visit from my parents. This guy had everything and threw it away because he didn't want to grow up. 😡
