I really look forward to it and I hope to see the Wii U make a recovery after a slow start. I am happy to own a Wii U and really hope things start picking up for it. I'll eventually get a 3DS too.

Wii Fit is actually a very important part of Nintendo's history now. Not only was it one of the best selling games of all time (let alone last gen), but it proved that video games can most certainly be beneficial for one's health. So no, Nintendo is still very much in touch with their roots. They've not forgotten about Zelda, Mario, Metroid, or their first character, Donkey Kong. And they're embracing newer IPs, like Pikmin, and the Wii series.

Converted you? That is awesome! Welcome to Nintendo, may you're gaming experiences be upgraded, and the enjoyment and fun be expanded.

Releasing games like Pikmin and Mario first are going to be an easy way to get sales from a universal crowd for the wii u, more advanced games like metroid will probably come next year as the wii u has already solidified some success.

As an adult I love the look and gameplay of Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros, and Bayonetta. They look right and they look they would be fun to play, seriously considering Wii U.

Right...because out of all of the games coming out, the two we can't wait for is "Yarn Yoshi" and "Mario Party 3DS" :P

This is why I love nintendo. They get it. Video games are not about being intense, or "hardcore," it's all about having fun. Nintendo is the only company who seems to stick with this belief.

I think Nintendo did really well at e3 this year. Imagine if MS or Sony was in Nintendo's position. They would hit the self destruct button. Nintendo can hold its own battles and I'm confident the Wii U will start selling like the 3ds.

I think she looks awesome. Unique, silly, and likely has a moveset that works well with certain strategies. Sounds exactly like what this franchise uses.

Metroid, Zelda HD, F-Zero HD. 5 more exclusive Teen/Mature games announced for E3 2014, X counts as 1, so 4 more. (Bayonetta 2 also counts, but I want to see more games) Nintendo did say they wanted to appeal to the hardcore gamer, so make it happen, I have faith in you. I still want you to focus on the casual gamer for Everyone "Party/Dance" games as well. You can earn a lot of players with the casual crowd as well. It just needs more exposure.

Jigglypuff was a beast in Melee. I beat Ganondorf, Mewtwo and Giga Bowser all with just her.

What matter is how you feel when you play the game. This is so true. I remember how I felt when I played Mega Man 2 for the very first time and when I heard that music on Wood Man's stage. I got so pumped up. This was a reaction to my feelings. Sony and Microsoft don't get it. They want to turn video games into interactive movies. If I want to play movies I rather watch them.

Ah, the SSB4 announcement. It was like using Kaioken X9001. We thought we'd be able to handle it, but then it comes along and FUCKS. US. UP. All sorts of hype for Mega Man.

I got a Wii U for Pikmin 3, then it was postponed... and then a ton of games were announced. Damn it, now I need money.

You know what, its awesome that nintendo is actully focusing on gameplay but i think they also do need a different side, they need to appeal to everyone so bring out zelda and mario games but also have hardcore games aswell. i like both by the way

A small list of things Nintendo needs to do: Nintendo needs more Hardcore Teen/Mature Exclusive Games. It also needs more casual for everyone games and a graphic update on your Miis. For Tee/Mature games, bring out Zelda you've showed off at E3 2012. Give us a new Metroid, a new F-Zero and at least 4 or 5 more new games we would like. Upgrade your Miis appearance, to the level of PS Home or Kinect 2.0, because they're outdated. Continue to make fun party games and publish adds for all games.

It's very well possible, even likely that Retro are working on another game besides DKCR2. The studio is large enough to work on two games at the same time and DK is almost finished anyway, so there is certainly something else early in the development process. If this is Metroid or something new, one will see. But it was most likely too early to show it this year. In fact, it's necessary to save some surprises for next year. ^^

I'd say Nintendo had a fine year. And, I think we may have a new Reggie meme in the making. FIrst we had "My Body Is Ready" Then we had "I Feel Just Like a Purple Pikmin".And this year, we may have the best: "Worried about game sales? Make better games." Well done, Reggie! :)

Many may find wii fit trainer a joke or something, but there will be players that may find a way to make it a competitive character. Heck, people used to laugh at Jigglypuff and look what happened, she became a good character in the correct hands.

I have to agree with you on that part. I didn't play video games to watch movies. I want to play video games cause of the catchy soundtrack and the memorable characters. Video games should always be video games and not some interactive movie shit.

Wii fit trainer is just like Pheonix Wright in Capcom v.s. Marvel. It's a joke character, but it is still is kick ass.

It could be considered a joke. But she's here to stay and it's quite funny. I'm happy to see her; she fits well with the less serious feeling of the franchise.

Both the PS4 and the Wii U are great system and earned my respect. Can't say the same for the other system... Either way, both those system have great potential and yes, the Wii U needs at least 5 more great Teen/Mature games. When I say that, I do mean that they need to be released in 2014, early 2015. Not just "throughout it's lifetime span". They should start making more games, Sony does have much more studios, but it doesn't mean that the Wii U can't deliver great games as well.
