It helps to identify this plant if you remember the queen has hairy legs.

Great video thanks. I'm up camping round Cayton Bay, as we were trekking to the beach I noticed a wild carrot and foraged the seeds. I was so proud of myself 😂 Checking the sides of the path as if I've lost a tenner.

Thanks for the wild carrot video i wondered what it looked like. I tried your processing of Dock leaf flour recently with mixed results, the flour mixed with ciabatta flour turned it grey tho' it did rise a little and made 4 passable rolls that looked like granite and went as hard as that when left in the fridge.

Thanks for another great video! I want to try the seeds.. I have a general question - one thing I always wonder about is the nutritional value of these wild foods. I'm guessing they all aren't so well studied from that perspective, but do you know of any books that provide what is known? Especially from a vitamin and mineral perspective.

Yes it’s a good question I’ve been trying to find a good source of wild food nutrition info for years. It’s patchy at best

Thanks for the video. Do you have to do anything with the seeds please for cooking processing wise and would you put a few seeds in or a whole flower head thanks. I will taste myself when I pick but you will have tried and tested recipes, whether to fry them or just put in at the end of cooking. Thank you x

I just let them dry for a few days. Then put a few into sauces (maybe 5/6 seeds). They have a fairly strong flavour so I wouldn’t use a whole head unless I’m cooking a large batch of sauce

They would also work sautéed with onion and garlic as a base for many dishes
