Wildcamping in the Lake District. Black Crag. Stunning sunset!!!

We park up at Tarn Hows and take the 4 km walk up to the 3rd smallest Wainwright, Black Crag, for a change we had glorious weather, which led to magnificent views, and a stunning sunset and sunrise. ‎@Wild.cat.adventures finally got a Lake District summit camp with decent weather, Paul brought Floki the staffy, who absolutely loves camp life. a thoroughly enjoyable camp, and I hope you all enjoy it as much as we did, atb Paul 🙏🏕🏕🏕♥️ #camping #sunset #mountains

yes FINALLY you have had some decent weather , cracking spot to pitch and have a chat and a few beers , the views were amazing as was the sunset and sunrise , awesome colours , I hope your next night's camp was just as good

Fantastic video Paul it's a great la'al Hill for a Sunset one of our favourites...lol had my one and only Drone crash up there...hit the Trig Point and smashed two props...fixed on't Hill and back up in't sky same day...nice time lapse mate and awesome Drone footage 😊 Well done Lad! lovely video and an excellent spot ! Was up there yesterday and spied a lovely spot for a camp, but Im a little concerned by the evidence of cattle on the fell, in the form of cow dung ! Wouldnt want to be rudely awoken by a herd of cows first thing. Know anything about this at all and can I ask, was it ok to park in the main car park overnight or did you park roadside ? Many thanks

Cheers Lee, glad you enjoyed it 😀 I parked in the main carpark with an all day ticket, although it says no overnight parking i was fine. When we camped there all the cattle were low down, but there was definitely clear signs they do get to the top, I would definitely say there are places ro pitch where you wouldn't get bothered by them, however you would have to assess the situation for yourself once up there. I will say I personally have never been bothered by cattle on a camp, but I do know people that have 👍 atb Paul 🙏 🏕🏕🏕😁
