It's a 4.6. Of course it'll start and won't make any strange noises either. I sure wish Ford woulda put a 5.8 in these and the Mercury and Ford equivalent but the 4.6 is probably their (and the industry's) most reliable engine.

Very nice. I have a 1991 Town Car with 35,890 miles. I used to own a 1995 Town Car with 252,000 miles when I sold it and I actually liked it better than my 1991. lol.

I had a digital dash like that in my ‘95 Grand Marquis. I love the “technology” that they put in 90’s luxury cars.

I undercoat all my cars and I'm 62 I have had more cars than birthdays. Ziebart is the best it's a oil and tar base.. cost is about $500 just for the undercoating. It's well worth it. I was from Illinois but now I live in Kentucky a lot less salt and chemicals on the road. But I love you anyway Anthony. 🙏☮️✝️🇺🇸

We had 2 of these.. a 95 executive and a 97 Cartier. Same color interiors (burgundy) with a grey exterior on one and the lovely garnet Cartier. I miss them so much it hurts. What a large interior.

You could have jumped the fuel pump, take out the scrader valve. You can also run a pressure can of seafoam into the injectors. (disable the pump)

Letting a car sit is one of the worse things you could do to it. needs to be driven once and a while to keep the mechnical components moving and oil/grease moving.

Currently restoring 1976 Eldorado with 39,000 miles: ball joints, steering stabilizer, trans and engine mounts, sway bar links, half shafts, lower control arm bushings, all belts and hoses, new radiator, new alternator and starter new water pump and battery, new tires and balanced. Am I done? Probably not. So what's my point? Point is getting a low mileage vehicle carries a lot of hidden $needs.

Undercoatings like ziebart are the worst thing you can spray on a vehicle. It forms an impenetrable covering over all the metal surfaces, and eventually there will be small cracks which allow moisture and worst of all salt if it's winter driven to penetrate underneath. Then it will hold that moisture and salt against the metal until it completely rots out. It would be wetter with no coating so that the metal could dry off after running through rain. And if driven through winter salt it could be washed off in spring. The only way to protect the underbody and in side panels from rust is to apply oil spray to them, and not the thick waxy stuff either. You want an oil that creeps into all the crevices and pores of the metal.

I have a 93 Lincoln town car. I changed the battery buy its been a few months, but I did the same thing with my Lincoln. New spark plugs, air filter, new brake lines, oil change,, gas pump and filters. It cranked but when I give it gas it shut off. What could that be. alternater or starter?

I really miss that 4.6L start sound....Had it in my 95 Ford Thunderbird LX, 95 Lincoln Mark VIII, and 97 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC. Might have to hit you up once this 97 is fully sorted out. haha. Cool 4000 miles. Now it only has 496,000 left. Does it have the plastic intake manifold? Not sure if Ford is still doing those recalls.
