Always love the G, finally got an early one, One of the first 400 built in 37, Saved it from the scrappers when I was in college, sitting in an Allis dealer's back lot. It was under a big thorn bush, just barely visible. I knew of it for a few years, thought it was an A as could barely see it. Then when I saw that they were clearing that lot for a new building, I took a chance and bought it almost unseen! Found out it was a G when they pulled it out of the brush to load it for me. Was missing the top end of the motor, so it sat in our hopeful pile for a time. My son loved to play farm on it when he was little. I've finally found enough parts to complete it. now just need to get going on it again. It still has the original small radiator on it, makes a bit rare, as most were recalled and updated back in the day. Don't know how long it sat in the dealers lot, but likely since the late 50s. Being it was missing the motor parts and the tires, I suspect they sold off those parts. The dealers dad told me that it was brought in for repairs but when told how much it needed, they bought a different tractor. I've owned it since 1975, but it sure has gotten many hours of kid use over the years. It's well earned it's keep for us!

Reminds me of when I was a kid on the farm my grandparents lived on. Folks talking while making repairs to equipment. I miss those days.
