The only way to settle the profitability claims being made by ‪@MicDropBBQ‬ is to have actual accounting of our numbers for comparison. It's disingenuous of Jeff to say that Tristan isn't focused on profits and he is when he doesn't have actual accounting of his profitability.
The only way to settle this debate logically is to look at real numbers.

This is some next level financial jujitsu, man! He's talkin' about haters while flaunting his bank account like it's the cure for the common cold. It's like he's tryna convince himself more than anybody else! This is the kind of stuff that keeps me up at night, laughin' my ass off! This guy's a walking, talking contradiction, and I'm here for every minute of it! He's about to add a FIFTH car to his collection while claimin' he's Mr. Profitable! This dude is a legend! I think we are both helpful to drivers. I doubt he feels the same about me. I think it bothers me because, despite the fact that I'm one of the most transparent KZfaqrs in this space, he will still go and make things up about me. I feel like I have to respond for the sake of the drivers/viewers. Because if he convinces someone that what I teach isnt useful, then he is potentially blocking them from information that can positively affect them. That pisses me off.

Don't you think networth is a better indicator? Would you rather have a networth of $100k, with $100k of debt or $200k networth with 0 payments and debt? Ive already committed to showing by bank balance at the end of every month to combat misinform. I will show my bank account before I make my monthly debt payments. Now look, I understand everyone sees things differently but I think having a high networth with no debt is better than having an unreasonable amount of money in the bank except your emergency fund. To me, if you have 100k in debt and you have $100k in the bank, you have $0.

Unprovoked isn’t entirely accurate when you’ve been commenting on his videos during the past few weeks and seem to ignore the obvious fact that Jeff (an emotional person in general) takes those comments as disparaging even when they aren’t intended in that fashion. It’s not easy for highly logical people to understand emotional context on the internet and even more difficult for such a person to interact with an emotional first type of individual with criticism that doesn’t immediately come off as arrogant and condescending to said emotional person (a character flaw you and I happen to share but that i clearly have more experience with). You can’t possibly be so self absorbed that you’re unaware of how he feels about you and your commenting on his videos, hence why calling it “unprovoked” is certainly an imprecise statement. It’s clear to you and me, perhaps, what your intentions are, but that is not the case for other or all outside viewers. And in particular those with and emotion first style of response as opposed to a logic first style of response.

@@jeffreyculbert2093 that's really not on Tristan. All that matters in life is how you respond to things. Have Tristan's comments been insulting? When he said flashing a bank account isn't a good measure of success, he was right, that's an objective truth. (flashing 17K in a bank account when you have 32K loan accumulating interest, that's just debt in a different font. Plus he makes money other ways. It doesn't show the effectiveness of his strategy.) And either WAY it was not an insult. His comments did not warrant the flood of insults and two videos talking trash and name-calling. That is a disproportionate response and acting like you don't see that is disingenuous. That guy is acting like a bully over literally nothing. So yeah, unprovoked.

You know debt isn't bad. It all depends on what you use it. Buying a house and using it for rental or short term investment is a good this if you're in a good area. Buying a car and using it for work like higher end client or higher paying rides is good investment. He is looking outside the apps to make more money. He also repair his own cars so he save money. I think you are confuse on what he is talking about.
@FutureRideshareMillionaire
@FutureRideshareMillionaire 2 ай бұрын
A house without a mortgage cash flows better than a house with debt. Buying a car with money and profits is better than using debt. With debt, you have more risk involved when things don't go as planned and things never go as planned. I even said the plan isn't a terrible idea in this video but the execution of it is.
@jeffreyculbert2093
@jeffreyculbert2093 2 ай бұрын
Dislike the two of you feuding. Same thing I posted on his comments. The two of you have wholly different philosophical approaches at opposite ends of a spectrum, and both of you tend to ignore aspects of a philosophical approach that doesn’t align precisely your own. Neither of you seems to realize the most important fundamental truth in this whole interaction: you are playing into the hands of the organized crime syndicates operating these platforms in immoral, unethical, and often times illegal fashions, by continuing to feud with each other rather than by cooperating with each other to acquire the aspects of the others skill set strengths where each of you is independently weak and present an even more potent combination of skills to drivers watching your channels. Your challenge to him is ridiculous, your markets are so wildly different that there cannot be a valid comparison. Your market is one of the top dozen or so in the entire country, Jeff’s is a market in the bottom third in the country in terms of earnings rates per mile. Continuing to bash each other rather than putting your heads together to figure out a solution to the fundamental problem posed illegitimate companies masquerading as real businesses hurts us all, and it’s beyond silly. Your branding approach, lack of clientele curation tactics and strategies, and general acceptance of fundamental flaws of these “corporations” harmful and unsustainable practices leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to drivers watching your channel looking for how to improve their mindset within this market space. His general disdain for data analytics, precision accounting, and optimization within a specific market techniques leaves a lot to be desired for drivers viewing his channel for the same self improvement reasons. The two of you together could be a force to be reckoned with, something that could quite literally change the landscape of the industry entirely by eliminating the illegal monopolistic entrenched status quo and returning power back to the hands of the independent contractor and small business owner… but the two of you would prefer a nonsensical pissing match. To be expected from the emotional Jeff, but, honestly, much sadder and less expected to see from you with your more reasoned and logical mindset. The reality is simple: forward progress in this sector requires both of your unique skill sets in combination and it’s frustrating and disheartening to see you both allowing the corporate powers that be to win with their strategy of divide and conquer by defeat in detail. A terrible waste of such great potential.

I don't agree with everything you said, but I do appreciate the sentiment. I've reevaluated, and I'll try to improve feeling like I need to defend myself. The only thing I want to correct is the market argument. The average driver in his market makes more money than the average driver in my market according to Solo. So, I reject the idea that it would have been an unfair challenge. On top of that, I was okay with him using his cash rides on the equation, which would make it unjust for me, but that is okay.
@jeffreyculbert2093
@jeffreyculbert2093 2 ай бұрын
My primary point was that it would never have been an apples to apples comparison, and it would t provide much in the way of educational information for viewers, particularly viewers of both channels who already are doing the apples to oranges comparisons. There really isn’t a need to interject yourself into Jeff’s world and he doesn’t have any business bugging you in yours. Each of you excels in your own ways according to your own strengths and any half way intelligent viewer can see this. Most critical thinkers are going to take the best parts from each channel and the things you do with your accounting and data analytics are the best in the business that can be found on YT. Legitimately the best, hands down. Stick to providing this stuff always and branch out as you grow, but there’s no need to try to set up a philosophical title match. Most of what Jeff does has nothing to do with the apps at all, he mostly uses them to acquire new clientele and that’s about it. A driver can learn nothing about how to get the most out of the apps watching his channel, that’s not what he promotes. A more appropriate challenge would be if you start acquiring and curating a private clientele list and then did a comparison of your two clientele portfolio earnings since that’s the only grounds Jeff is willing to battle on in the first place and even I have to admit that might be pretty interesting content.
