Its not only a specific style of sword, it just means "big sword", so in a way, all large swords where claymores. The Scottish variant of the basket-hilted sword, is also widely called a claymore :) Well the kilt was also taken into use, after his death :)

Gotta agree, I'm really enjoying the more "down-to-earth" weapons, over the comically over-sized, over-the-top ones. This sword and Sokka's Meteor Sword are by far my two favorites.

Agreed! I actually wish the video was longer and even MORE detailed. I like to work with wood, often with a rasp and file, and some of the things I make take forever to shape. When he said that he'd be shaping the blade for four to five hours, I felt a little better about taking so long to do some of my projects.

As much as it pains me tae say, there was never a sword that William Wallace continuously used, the sword that's on show in his monument is a claymore crafted from 3 different eras over 100 years apart

Its called repair work on a very old sword. The sword was originally William Wallace's long claymore sword.

Katana: eu sou a lamina mais popular e forte do mundo 🙂🇯🇵 Claymore: 🧐 esta na hora desse rapaz saber quem eu sou de verdade. 🏴 Nao sou fan de katanas por elas serem superestimadas demais. Eu prefiro as espadas europeias como a claymore, espada bastarda e ulfberht alem das espadas templarias. Mas respeito todas as laminas antigas no geral pois mesmo antes da invençao da polvora, o cidadao comum nao podia ter armas so mostrando como o nosso planeta nao mudou nada. Sempre pessoas querendo estar no controle de tudo e todos e as armas no geral é uma forma de reprimir qualquer rebeliao alem de iniciar rebelioes contra aqueles que praticam o mal mesmo que finjam ser o lado do bem

Yea Kirito's pblade would be pretty easy. I'm no expert at crafting but it looks easy.you should make the blade holder too. Plus the second sword. The dark repulsed.

You are a true Master. I have made a few small knives and only wish I could work at a place where I could learn the art of making swords and such at the hands of a Master Craftsman. But I am a weapons expert. I do know excellence when I see it. I'm also a 30+ year guy and I do know good steel when I see it. I'm old now but I know stuff.

I saw and loved your Web Videos. Love the Swords you make, but one sword that has been kind of an obsession of mine for decades that I haven't seen is... Stormbringer from the Glen Cook Series of books beginning with Elric of Melnibone! A badass sword that is not only bad for his enemies, but for the wielder as well. Think you guys can make that one??

What I'd really like to see - which I doubt anyone has ever even considered before - is anything from the Michael Moorecock books. Specifically Hawkmoon's Sword of the Dawn or Elric's Stormbringer.

There are so many beautiful weapons in Dark Souls (2). Why don't you request something like Artorias Greatsword or the Gold Tracer, to bring back some good old memories? Ornsteins Dragonslayerspear would be awesome, too.

The fact that it's so inhumanly massive to the point that only Guts can wield it is one of the main reasons its so interesting. Plus Guts started the trend of Greatsword wielding badasses in anime and Japanese video games, so the Dragonslayer is long overdue for some more recognition.
