3D Construction Printing

4 жыл бұрын

The video shows the ongoing erection of the 3D R&D Center, which is the largest 3D printed construction in the world. It consists of 7 large buildings. The buildings are printed and build with 9-12 workers, 3 machines: excavator, one crane, and 1 large 3D printer.
It shows the 3D printed walls with 2 different patterns: On 1 side the weaving decorative pattern, on the other side the layer-by-layer pattern.
Technological development of the green recycling industry incorporated in 3D printing construction, and technology that allows for zero waste construction. Winsun proposes the concept of the 'Green Recycling Industry' with 3D printed buildings. The strengths and output (including Waste) of several industries can be combined, such as urban construction, steel mill (waste: steel slack), power plant (waste: coal ash), chemical industry, locally available building materials, such as sand, etc.
The 3D printed products, such as 3D printing Ink, 3D printed walls and modules, are all technically assessed by Shanghai Research Institution of Buildings Science (SRIBS) and local and international standards were applied. This is a very important step into Standardization of the 3D printing technology.
Winsuns' technology goes much further than just replacing the conventional way of 'Construction'. You can see all these advantages allow for a new, greener ecological society. It can realize zero garbage communities, ecological agriculture, etc. It provides new functions for our conventional way of living and waste disposal.
Join us in the dream for future cities. Let's build our low carbon emission, recyclable and vibrant home together!

This points out the necessity of putting expansion joints in their work so it can naturally expand/contract with heat/cold. (I see some of those they have already, I guess they just need more / better planning for that.)

@@protorhinocerator142 So you didn't watch the video huh? Also you are wrong on every level. In fact you could not be anymore wrong. WOW. Even by internet standards that was an insane amount of ignorance you spewed there while babbling on about topics which you clearly know nothing about. Be happy the world has innovators in it to make the world a better place. All while the willfully ignorant people like yourself talk crap about all of the hard work and intelligent new processes and inventions that they come up with. Truly pitiful kiddo. SMH

awesome, this is definitely a needed advancement. i wonder if they will provide service to go to different countries like america, south america to build cheaper. they build a house 3d print in america. said it cost 4,000 but now i see a really tiny one for $112,000. it’s ridiculous. they get greed here in america. i wanted to build low cost apartments and then all of a sudden the cost of everything went extremely high. now everyone is negatively affected. i think if they can print 650 sq for 4000. i’m guessing just the print, they could print a 10 unit building for 70k to 80k easy.

We're still building these in a central factory though, meaning it's not as efficient as it can be. If they build it in-situ, the owner can take a day off to watch the construction and see which corners have been cut. Building these segments in a central factory means the builders can more easily hide their lackluster building techniques, far removed from the customer's eye. I wouldn't buy any 3D printed house built somewhere else and shipped in via Trust Me Express.

On-site printing takes too much time and results in a lot of waste. The site must be prepped, foundations prepared for the printing equipment, the entire site sealed from the elements to ensure the concrete pours and dries properly, and concrete trucks lining up to ensure a steady supply of material for the printer. This added time, materials, and labor increases the cost by as much as 50%. Factory built is the future of construction. Most everything in construction today is manufactured off-site.

@@J.Cameron.Stuart.Adams. I can't help but think there's a sweet spot where some of the major parts are built off-site (and thoroughly tested by an independent agency), and then a local on-site team uses some pre-fab parts and some local construction. Even if you buy a mobile home, you still have to do some on-site prep work. I might even be inclined to buy a mobile home if they had a progressive quality standard system. The minimum is 1. This is the usual mobile home people expect. 2 would be a step up. Better construction, better parts. 3 would be another step up from there, to the point where you could reasonably expect the home to appreciate in value, rather than depreciate. Mobile homes typically depreciate, unlike normal houses. 4 would be entering luxury territory. And then the real estate company would need to be certified at that level to make sure the resulting home still meets the level you paid for. They need some on-site construction skills.

@@protorhinocerator142 Everything you stated is in place. The structure and components must meet minimum requirements. While developing their process from existing technologies Winsun tested and fine tuned everything from facility temp and humidity to the cement mix to the extruder head, and extruded cement thickness, width, and shape to ensure the most strength. Thats not to say corruptions isn't possible. Particularly if a business is owned by a high level party or government member. The foundation, plumbing, electrical, windows, exterior cladding, subflooring, finished flooring, and all the interior finishing is completed on-site. Many of the components installed on-site, like all other construction projects, are manufactured off-site. Off-site component manufacturing has been a staple in the industry for the last several thousand years. All the blocks to build the Egyptian pyramids were shaped off-site for maximum efficiency. Kits, SIPs, log homes, and the like are manufactured and assembled in roughly the same manner. Pieces arrive and are assembled. There are multiple levels of manufactured homes and other structures. There are basic single to triple section home models to 30 piece modulars homes. Manufactured homes are placed on block piers to permanent foundations with full basements. One can buy a manufactured entry level home for as little as $40k placed on blocks (mobile home) to a three story with a full walkout basement and an attached ten car garage for $2 million (modular). Mid level two or three section manufactured homes (former called mobile) placed on a permanent foundation appreciate in value at the same rate as comparable site built homes. The same is not true for entry level manufactured homes with paneling instead of drywall, plastic fixtures, wood look plastic trim, and other cheap materials on a permanent foundation. Such entry level manufactured homes may be titled as real property (because of a permanent foundation and/or local code). However due to the materials used in its construction, the economic life of the entry level version is much shorter than a comparable site built home. Additionally the market says this entry level manufactured home is not as valuable as a comparable site built home due to its appeal to buyers. As such you are correct this example entry level manufactured home would not appreciate, and in some instances of deferred maintenance and location may depreciate, at the same rate as site built or other manufactured homes. Modular homes appreciate equally to comparable site built homes. Like site built homes and other structures a range from basic to high-end manufactured homes and structures does exist. Rules, regulations, and codes do exist to protect life, reduce energy, and reduce environmental impact. However, there is always a risk of fraud, deception, and corruption at every turn. Everything going into a structure has value. As such nothing is safe from fraud. Using a reputable company minimizes the risk. Manufacturing is the most efficient way to build structures. Efficiencies are key to success. Manufacturing efficiency equals valuable saving. Saving time and materials are key factors. Consistent product, reducing errors and waste follow. I saw an entire five story 23 unit apartment building go up in a matter eight days. Each module was 100% completed, including exterior cladding and weather proofing between modules. When the final modular section was placed on top and plugged into the electrical, water, gas, and sewer lines the entire building was 100% complete. The only item preventing moving in was the final sign off by the building inspector. The building passed inspection the next morning. Time will tell if these modules, designed and built by the same company that produces modules for cruise ships, will stand the test of time without maintenance and interventions exceeding normal maintenance and other economic life extending measures on comparable site built structures. Lastly homeowners being on-site during any part of the process is a nightmare 99.99% of the time. 99.99% of homeowners have zero build experience or knowledge. All they do is slow the process down with needless interruptions, constant questions, commentary, and get in the way. Safety measures help to keep most homeowners out of the way. There is always that one homeowner who is a self proclaimed "expert". Often times it takes a call to a health and safety inspector to get the homeowner booted from the site. Even then they often can't stay away. Cheers!

Nothing special, they print a different shape components and that's its. Its not so much cheaper because of transportation cost and building crew who will mountain all those prefabricated elements. Offcorse its possible to make a beautiful elements, but right now we have much better techniques then this one.
