@BooneBoys Right 🤣 but it's the truth.When I see flukes, I'll buy a different color and my wife tells me....REALLY I always tell her color means alot and fish on your hook you love lol. I did notice you didn't catch one on the Bourbon Blaze this time.

Just got back with Sam from blue River. We only caught 5 trout between us for a single day of fishing which wasn’t terrible. Glad the striper bite is still strong. 👍

Looks like you guys had a blast! Big fish too! Its hard to find a hybrid over 22" right now in our lake. When I took my dad last Wednesday, he caugth a 21½" Hybrid...it was great to see him get into the action. Our depth finder looked like yours did too! My plan because I knew our water temps (64 degrees) are much warmer here in SE Texas, was to fish bait as Plan A. Then try Deadsticking as a Plan B. I caught a few deadsticking but they were short striking. The smaller might have been the reason. We were spot locked, so they were able to get a good look at the lure. So they wouldonly hit it for a few minutes. I went right back to bsitand hooked up immediately! Tried something, just for fun, tipped a jig with bait for my dad and he got an instant hook up! We never fished for cats but caught 6 that were mixed in the Hybrids! 80% of the Hybrids we caught were over the minimum length here in Texas. Its nice to be steadily catching legal fis, so you can cull what you keep.

I’m wondering if mussels would work at that lake we fished. One day I’ll give it a try. Out here in the boonies no grocery store sells mussels.

I’m sure I’ve just missed it in other videos, but what line do you use, are you running a leader?

You don’t need to run a leader Deadsticking. I do have some poles with 10’ of 30lb fluorocarbon, but I do not see any difference than green, black or other braid. Now I have seen it last year where yellow braid noticeably wasn’t catching as many fish. I’d go with 12lb diameter or so and you’ll be fine.

Hi I love your video's I am from Colorado and fish Texoma a coupe times a year. I am going to try dead sticking do you have a recommendation for a lake to try would lake Foss lake be good

From now until Christmas Foss Lake is usually really good. It’s decent now but only going to get better as temps keep falling.

Any lakes you would recommend NE of Oklahoma City closer to Wellston or Luther for hybrids? We tried Carl Blackwell a few weeks ago and caught a couple. Foss is over 2 hrs from us so we're trying to find something a little closer. Thanks and love watching your videos!!

@okiedokie99 thanks for watching! Have you fished Sooner Lake? I’ve heard it’s been hot there for Hybrid Bass and Sandbass now. I’ve heard rumors of nice striper too. I have fished many lakes in the NE. I really would like to but my work and kids activities have kept me closer to home over the years.

@okiedokie99 I’m in Edmond and I go to Sooner up in Perry and consistently catch sandies, hybrids and a lot of white perch. Not too far from you, would be happy to give some pointers on Sooner.

@@Charles_And_Christina_H Awesome! Were targeting hybrids. Do they seem to stock it pretty good? We're going to try some deadsticking out at Sooner soon. Have you guys had luck out there this fall with that method? In the spring and summer we're normally netting shad and fishing for hybrids that way but wanting to try some deadsticking this fall 🤔
