In February, I flew a couple for Angel Flight West. They were returning home to Laramie, WY after participating in a clinical trial in Seattle. As is common on these longer missions, AFW split the flight up into two legs. I flew the first leg from Renton to Boise and another pilot flew the remaining leg from Boise to Laramie. The flight went really well and the passengers were great to fly with. This video documents the return flight from Boise to Renton.
The majority of the flight was in beautiful, chilly VFR winter conditions however the arrival back into the Seattle area had us flying through some IMC conditions. We also picked up a little icing. I’ve tried to include a lot of the IFR communications. I know many of the viewers enjoy seeing (and hearing) what it is like to fly one of these IFR cross country flights. I hope you enjoy it. I’m always happy to hear ways I can improve these videos and make them more useful.
