You do not even have to leave it at the altar that long. Anything from half an hour to overnight is acceptable. The time that it takes to have a meal is sufficient. Sweets and fruit you may leave longer. Any member of the family can eat the food. It may be kept in the fridge until you are ready to have it. Just do not throw it away.

The beauty of learning this from a person that’s from my own homeland is a blessing. Americans are on this hard hey. That’s where I get more of my African spirituality

Yes, Ma'am. Doing things cause other people are doing it - that's a maze indeed as we don't even really realise it or simply ignorant. Love this channel. Makwande!

Gogo, what do we do with the food that we've put at our alter after a 24hrs of it being there?
@karlmajola46684 жыл бұрын
Legitimate question, I'd also like to know.

Any member of the family may eat it. I never leave mine on the altar for 24 hours though I may have it there overnight. It may be kept in the fridge for whoever gets hungry. Just don't throw it out.
