Man I love fish cakes, haven't had them in years. I live out here on the West Coast but as a child I spent my summers down on the Bay of Fundy at my grandparents Nova Scotia side, fish cakes, home made bread and grannies molasses cookies, man oh man...those rolls looked fantastic

When I was 15, I used to pitch my dad's tent in the back yard & stay there in the spring & summer(my cat used to stay with me -- one day she came in there and gave birth to her kittens). Love to Angel!! As you can see by my icon, we have Chow Chows (4 of them). Dogs are the best!

Dale, I do love your videos which I discovered some months ago and just wanted to say, thank you! We have several fish dishes here in Bermuda which use salted cod - codfish and potatoes and others...I guess we don't know about the worms! We also fill our baths for hurricanes and have water in pots on the stove - similar deal, not well water but most houses here catch rainwater and have tank storage below the house...which need pumps so it's the same issue, no power equals no water... obviously no reply needed here, I just wanted to chip in and say thank you! G

Coming from someone who is already mourning what little snow Texas was graced with this season, I enjoy these 'Winter Storm at the Cabin' videos tremendously. But I think my favorite is the one where you hike down the snowy Forest road back to the little beach (well, as far as the cement picnic table anyway!). Such a treat to get to experience all of the sights & sounds of your lovely island in ALL of its beauty throughout the year (even if just vicariously!! 😊) I hope the New Year brings many blessings & you can continue to spread your warm Canadian smile, laughter, & good cheer that is appreciated by so many. I made myself wait to watch this video for when I knew I would have uninterrupted time to watch. I use your cabin videos like a special treat or gift to myself. It was fun to see it pop up on my feed and then the excitement building up to the time when I would be able to a watch it. Well, this morning I was able to get a 1/2 hour to myself and settled in to watch and was not disappointed. Thank you for starting my day off so well! I weathered out the storm in Cape Breton where in the western side of the island there was 200 km hour winds. I was in the middle of the island where we only got about 100 km(60mph) and 30 cm (1 foot) of snow. Still a crazy storm especially that it snowed then rained then the next day turned very cold again. We lost power for 3 days and it really surprised me how many people were totally unprepared. I had to help a fair amount of people by using my tractor to blow out their driveway and bring them food and start their generators and bring them gas for their generators. It was mostly elderly people were in this dire straits. Our place in Cape Breton is very rural so our options are few. Closest store is 25 minutes away. Great video by the way.
