WIPER PUMP FAULT!

The car is soon to go for M.O.T test but the windscreen washers don't work. I don't know what the fault was but it seems to be working again. I checked the fuses, removed the pump and tested it and everything seems not to be faulty. All details are on the video and please if you see an error or you have an idea, suggestion, question please comment below. All the best and enjoy the video.

I have the exact same problem on my Corsa just now. No noise, pump not even firing on front and back. I am going to check the fuses. Thanks for the video.

Great information Video, i had the same problem with my zafira but found out the the fuse had blown but it was fuse 7 and not fuse 8 as the manual states

You could also do a check with a multitester. While the pump is still attached to the container. And with a "New 9volt battery" 6LR61/MN1604 Put the neg/pos either way round across the terminals. There is enough voltage to spin the motor, without taking it out.

Great video, thanks. I had the same sort of never ending trouble with a few cars I've had. It's seems as if some of the parts they use came out of a lucky bag. ....from Ireland.

I had the same issue, checking the fuse box it was not fuse 8 but 7 for my fuse box. Make sure the fuse your checking is correct for your fuse box they look the same.

Got an Astra. Engine management light on for a year. Washer pump just failed and engine management light is now off.. 😂 Vauxhall warning lights work in reverse

Why didn't I consider the fuse box. It worked perfectly. I can send back the pump tomorrow and get a happy meal.

I found fuse 7 did the washer pump, not as stated in the books

and how can you hear the engine but the water does not flow what is broken?

The rear jet sometimes takes longer for the water to get there and if it's not empty I am not sure. Maybe it's blocked or the pump is weak. Keep troubleshooting and if you find the problem, share with us.👍

Could be or corroded plug. I only put a bit of grease on the connector.

Wiper pump fault! It did work when you put it back could be a fault in the connections I have the same problem traced the pipe back to where the pump is and it now works. The pump could slowly braking down? Don't forget these cars are now produced in britain but under french ownership and they use cheap Chinese electrical parts.
