Northern Canada here, eating local during winter through freezing food, root house, and preserves/ canning. Eating local milk and eggs and meat too because northern climate body demanding it . Hi Mia, great video, yes going more sustainable is a journey, it takes time. I have been doing it for over 5 years now and we went from having a bag of trash a day to putting out the rash can once a month for collection, and it is only barely half full.😄it takes a lot of rethinking, using reusable bags and fabric bags for veggies is only the beginning. We changed the way we buy, and I want to grow my own food as much as I can, that is my next goal. changing all the plastic bottles of soaps and cleaners to bars of soap and few cleaning agents that are natural is another hurdle, that takes time to change, I'm about half way on that. Anyway, I love the being an ancestor idea a lot, that is great advice.

Mother Earth is a funny miss. I used to make it a habit to share my drink during special days with the Mother, wherever I go. The most remarkable occasion I was drinking a good German beer on the old family property I grew up in, decaying from the dark energy it has collected over the years. I went out on the property, and I made a toast with the earth and poured half my beer for her to have. The next day, the house was covered in lady bugs. Thousands, probably millions, because it's a huge house. Every window, all over the siding, was crawling with Lady Bugs. BTW, it helps to use Prowriting Aid through the editing process. You can also cycle your manuscript using Grammarly as well. Those are the 2 best editing software. And add-on a reader to listen to your text versus reading aloud all the time. Believe me, I write 100k+words fantasy novels. It gets exhausting. Good luck!!!

thanks so much for this video mia. ive really been struggling from an energetic hangover from 2022 and have noticed myself cutting corners in my own self care and how i care for the planet lately.. Winter in temperate regions has always been the time to stay close to home and do what you can inside. It's very much like being in the womb again, in that we are waiting for rebirth in spring. It's still important to get out in nature despite the cold and snow, and if you have a dog he will lead you out in any kind of weather. You're right about plastic being evil though when used as a disposable item like a shopping bag. The current state of the world, with species going extinct before they can even be studied and whole areas of forest laid waste, is sad. The mainstream religions that put man outside of nature and above it are in many ways to blame for the callous attitude of the modern world to the environment.
