I'm making a a959 with a metal body and a sidewinder 4 motor and ESC. It should do close to 100 mph. I'm putting 2 fpv cameras on it and going to get out in traffic and try the interstate. Going to mess with police too lol. Have a bright headlight I'm putting on it

Mate, do you weight the rear of your car aswell or just the front? Having a nightmare keeping this on the road after 43mph lol. Nowhere near that king speed! Just got more parts today so will repair and try again. I cant get power to the ground after 1/4 throttle. I will be running a very low gain gyro this time. @@gregsargeant9924 no I only use metal parts in some places but i have home made drag bar that add weight in rear and i put extra weight in front but it the ride high and how firm the wheels are. Not to much wobbly in wheels which give good grip and stability. Lower it with cable ties will help

Youd have to look back at all my video mate as I've spent so much time and money building this little beast it be hard to find all links and I did some things custom so it be hard to fit some parts till you try and see for your self. It be hard to replicate mine. But if you watch my older video I always talk about how I did or why and so on but do get at me when your building your I'll do best to help.

@@birminghamgtrc yeah you're better off building up a traxxax 4tec 2.0 or slash 2wd or even 4wd but more maintenance. I have a 2wd stampede with every rpm part you can get. It has gtr shocks, mod 1 26/34 gears, max 10 120 amp hobbywing esc with 3674 2650kv motor, batteries are two 2s smc 2s 75c 8000 mah, -3° camber in the rear, upgraded 4mm camber links, J concepts rustler high speed body with added pound in the front. Grp 8th scale s7 compound slicks with s3 in front with 17mm wheel hub adapters, savox 1256tg servo, Xt60 plugs, lowered as low as I can get it. Its pretty sweet i can go 90 and have time to brake in the 1000 feet if radio Tqi offers. Id say my build was like 700 maybe more

I use to use stock A959B body but it hard to fit all under body but the old A979 body give it more room for esc.

You only need to get all metal gear servo it dont need to be really high kv.

Yeah he quick to we chat a lot were pushing each other to go faster he a cool guy. The fastest is 81mph 80mph and mine 78mph in the world right now for these wltoys 1/18

What motor is he running! Are those castle 1/18 joints any good for high speed

I'm using A959B buggy A979body. I use 27t pinion and 38t Spur from original 42t spur. But I think the cars have very small slight differences in chassis length so i need to trim down the diff pinion at the end of drive shaft at rear. As it to long and pushes against the diff spur to much and lock the wheels so I trim it I'll link a vid on it.

@@jstagzsr go all metal gears you'll be fine if you stay plastic you'll strip them out. I got a video on the diff metal gears on which to use as some dont fit as nice as other.

@@birminghamgtrc i really wanna get that all titanium 1959 set of ebay. It has all titanium driveshaft, gears, arms, etc. It looks dope AF and is gonna be way stronger than the normal aluminum and brass upgrades i have now. The chassis was upgrade 1 and gears were #2 but the gears are still in a plastic housing that is gonna heat up and potentially warp. I should do titanium or aluminum at least diff cases next. i just hate buying the affordable stuff from china because it takes so long to get here to NY. and all the stuff sold in the states has a very limited selection and its like 15 times the price. But im gettin there. slowly but surely. Its probably gonna be several months before i have an end product i am fully satisfied with, but itll be done eventually. But yeah im gonna check out your video on the gears right now.

@@jstagzsr I been working on my A959B for a year I had 3 of them still got first all metal and second just for spare parts then 3rd is the one I hit 78mph with.

My quickest it 78mph but I put new setup in to do 80mph+ 😁🤞🏽 Not give up yet with it. I think it got a little bit more in it.

That one is smaller than I want to try, in fact I want the 124019, but I just bought a 144001, a cheap combo to get started with, but by next month I should have electronics installed that will reach those speeds if I can just keep it between the ditches you might have some competition, lol. Do you think 120mph is 0ossible with the 144001?

How you fit a 5500mah battery that to big I'd say you only need 2200mah with higher c rating I use 130c 2200mah and I got an even bigger c rating 2200mah for it. But yeah you can full throttle even on road out side it will be to much for it. You defo have to ease into run then go hard.

@@birminghamgtrc the 5500mah is the length of the car. The shell won't go on it with that on it. I need to find a battery similar in size. to the original. i have a 1500mah 2s floureon that wont even fit. its like 1/8 inch too long.

@@jstagzsr 2200mah is best I have 2 and they fit perfectly if you mount esc in middle on top or youd have to put lik small 1500mah to fit were 2s lipo goes.

I still got 20mm hex extensions fitted all same as last run at 70mph I just did run on longer rd to hit higher speed 😉👌🏾

@@Rick-yx5ic I use the rear rally bump of the wltoys A9*9 rally car 1/18 then I drilled holes in it to mount the wheelie bar to and i screw top piece into the small hole in top of diff.

With what rc A979B or 144001? I've done only 78mph with my A959B but a few people have gone quicker now. And I did 114.3mph with my 144001. 😁👌🏾

Mine 3s mate not 4s so not same time mine fast on 3s and yes I show battery and uncut video of run so no one cant say it fake so if this run is on same level then I'm still king lol but I'm going to look at run as I love seeing these car do these speed and if I ran mine 4s with higher kv motor I'd smash higher speed.
