Wokeness should be mocked though, it’s an authoritarian Marxist ideology that has massively restricted freedom of speech in western countries like the UK, enabled massive riots across America in 2020 that killed around 20 people and had completely terrified people in power from government to media so they’ll follow the party line. It’s horrific and mirrors the communist and fascist authoritarianism that led to millions dead last century. People are far too tolerant of having an active cancel culture where a small group of narcissistic busybodies on the internet backed by malicious journalists can just ruin almost anyone’s reputation and livelihood.

@@mikemike0682 I mean, comedy has always been policed. It's just part of the job. Comedians are supposed to be subversive and should know how to deal with the press without being crybabies about it. There's nothing less funny than a comedian who plays the victim card. I'm also about 90% confident that every comedian who ever got 'cancelled' whatever that means just wasn't a very good comedian. It's a skill issue. If your comedy isn't great, the market rejects you. It's capitalism

I'm so in love with this guy - not on a yukky I'd like to steal him from his wife level...noooo. I'm mid-50s with a beautiful sub-10yo son....living a ghastly life in many ways. (I don't have custody...the system IS rigged ;-) ) But on an appreciation level for his intelligence, humanity, compassion/kindness, and fucking comedic genius. Kev I An gets it!! But the thing I really wanted to comment on, is that sort of tenor-guttural giggle he has. It's just heaven. So authentic. He MUST have been a fucking awesome scallywag in his day, with that giggle (oh hang on, I'M actually old enough in theory to have been his mum, why am I saying 'in his day'!?). Thank you Kevin Bridges. I imagine one day, we may see less of you for whatever reasons...but I hope you get to keep entertaining till I die, at least. I always laugh. (I used to laugh a LOT for almost no reason, but the last 10-15 years, have kicked the shit out of me. And now I act, for my son. And it is better than not acting, so it shouldn't be put down.)

Especially considering the existence of echo chambers (eg. social media) that helped them to find other like-minded individuals, thus, further solidifying their 'progressive' opinion.
