@@thomasnunya9561 Not true. If someone is a single parent who works a full time job with a couple of kids, they can still qualify for food stamps. It all depends on how much they make. And unfortunately many people don’t make above minimum wage. Walmart is a perfect example. Most of their employees make $10-17 an hour, BUT are only allowed to work part-time so Walmart doesn’t have to pay them benefits.

My mother is a senior and worked all her life until retirement earning minimum wages. She doesn’t even qualify for $200 a month. Able bodied people should not be receiving more than a senior that can no longer work and contributed all their work life! With a kid or not. Heck I returned to work after I had my only child.

You can still work and be on EBT, you know that don't you? It depends on your income. For example, i work and tried to get on food stamps last year but was $600 over the income requirements. Had i not been $600 over i would have been approved while still working. However after i had a freak accident back in January of this year my job was put on hold with FMLA while i currently recover from knee surgery and i was able to get EBT since i can't work for the next few months.

If you have over at least $2,000+ in your account you not qualify and your resources can not be over certain limits amount.
