It's because all along history, kings had multiple women, whom they could make queens. I've yet to hear a queen having multiple kings, not just lovers. Life is exactly like the chess game - the queen is the most powerful, and if you get the pawns on the other side of the board, you can get multiple queens (hence...reality, right?) .
