I liked this much maligned film as well! I loved that Patty made a homage to Donner’s Superman - as someone that grew up during that time and saw those 80’s films as a child in the theatre it was much appreciated Couple of things to add to your review I found the Maxwell Lord character to be a very unique villain - I especially liked that his ‘powers’ acted like a Ponzi scheme, just like his original business - I thought that was a smart touch Finally, Patty set up a super hero narrative and thematic underpinning where the main character, in this case literally a God, can’t just punch her way out of the problem It’s an interesting film I liked that Patty didn’t just repeat what she did with the first film but did something completely different

I honestly wish I could like this movie as much as you but I just can’t.

I don't know what film you watched, but the action was far better than the first film and the was magnificent.
