In this week’s woodturning video, Harry and I continue to try and deplete our wood stash. What better way to make room for more wood than to turn a large bowl! This was a large piece of Magnolia which was a pain in the beaver to cut. Many trips to the grinder was necessary to keep sharpening my tools. There must have been some embedded road grime or mineral deposits that made this turning quite the challenge.
After all that struggle I wasn’t too impressed by the look of the piece. It seemed a bit bland in regards to the color and figure in the wood. Oh well.
